The Mechanical Optical Engineering Center (MOEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and
mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems to introduce reliable new
products faster, better, and more economically. At the Forest, MS Consolidated Manufacturing Center, Raytheon produces high technology electronics assemblies
for the Department of Defense.
Job Description:
Member of a highly motivated team in the design support, development, and production of ground-based and airborne equipment
programs located in Forest, MS. Responsibilities include process documentation, defect and variability reduction, SPC development and implementation, cycle
time reduction activities, new equipment implementation and new product development. The candidate must have good oral and written communication and be
able to provide technical leadership in a teaming environment. Process troubleshooting must use methodical approach based on data. Work with Integrated
Product Team Lead and process operators to maximize process yields. Attend daily process-focused team meetings to reduce defects and address process issues.
Qualifies new process breakthroughs to improve product quality and reduce cost and cycle times. Implement new processes as new programs are brought to
production. Will assist in the development of training packages and train operators as required. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify
their eiciency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develop manufacturing processes that are
applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provide guidance to Design Engineering regarding design concepts and specification
requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Desired Skills and Experience

Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the manufacturing engineering field.
Experience with MS Oice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Statistical Methods
Must have the Ability to obtain a security clearance

Required Education: BS degree from an accredited university majoring in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related.Spring 2014
graduate or have graduated within 18 months of start date.
