ABSTRACT

Benches are widely used throughout the world as a seat that mainly located at public
places and other strategic places. The new modern, contemporary and latest design and concept
of a bench are not only acted as a long seat, but also combines with other function such as
backrest and table. However, most of convertible bench apply locking system that difficult to use
and easy to broke. This project is focused on the flip mechanism of a convertible bench that used
simple mechanism rather than a locking system. By doing the research on the weaknesses of
current modern bench, this bench is designed to overcome the problem which will help to
increase the comfort of users to use the convertible bench.
