1 Introduction

Introduction

ROS_4.14.2133 (2100 series, 2110G series), Bootstrap_3.1.7(2100 series bootrom) is the new
official ROS4.0 software.

Compatibility

3.1 Version ROS_4.14.2133

PPPOE+ circuit-id supports being configured in binary mode, which is mutually exclusive to
the format.

DHCP option 82 circuit-id supports being configured in binary mode, which is mutually
exclusive to the format.

GVRP, GMRP, LLDP packets are transparently and intactly transmitted.

Upgrade Procedure

4.1 Normal upgrade operations


4.1.1 Upgrade the ROS software
Enter the Enable mode in the ROS operating system and upgrade the ROS firmware via FTP
or TFTP.
Example:

The upgrading process will take several minutes to complete. Do not power off the device
during the upgrading process, otherwise the device may be damaged.

4.1.2 Upgrade Bootstrap


Enter the Enable mode in the ROS operating system and upgrade Bootstrap via FTP or TFTP.

4.2 Upgrade operations from versions earlier than


ROS_4.14.1991 to ones larger than 4M
The version earlier than ROS_4.14.1991 does not support being upgraded to ones larger than
4M. If you have to do so, upgrade it to a transit version, and then to a target version.

4.2.1 Upgrade to transit version


Enter the Enable mode in the ROS operating system and upgrade the ROS firmware via FTP
or TFTP.

Feature Evolution

5.1 Version ROS_4.14.2133

PPPOE+ circuit ID supports binary format.

DHCP option 82 circuit ID supports binary format.

Resolved Issue List

6.1 Version ROS_4.14.2133

The problem is solved that the status of the POE interface LED is inconsistent with the actual
interfaces.

The problem is solved that the ISCOM2110G/ISCOM2110G-PWR interface 9/10 fail to be


Up after being inserted with a 10/10/1000 self-adaptive electrical module and then an 1000
Mbit/s optical module.

Product Issue List

8.1 Issue ID: ESW00018036

Description: after the MTU of the IP interface is set to 9694, the IP interface fails to respond to
Ping packets larger than 1534 bytes.

8.2 Issue ID: ESW00018050

Description: VLAN mapping fails when the downlink interface is in Access mode.

8.3 Issue ID: ESW00019575

Description: when the ISCOM2110G interface 9/10 is inserted with the SFP-1000 electrical
interface but RJ45 twisted pair cable, the LNK/ACT LED will be On.
