Joint Inter-faith Humanitarian Donation

in Aid of Aceh and Rakhine State

The representatives of the Muslim, Buddhist, Taoist, Catholic, Hindu, Protestant
and Bahai faiths groups came together on Friday, 16 Dec 2016 at the Harmony Centre to
donate to a joint interfaith humanitarian relief effort for Aceh and Rakhine State. NCCS was
represented by Elder Richard Chong, it's Executive Secretary.
The religious leaders observed a minute of silence for the victims of the violence in
Myanmars Rakhine State and the earthquake that struck Aceh in Indonesia last week. The
leaders collectively raised donations from their communities totalling $21,000. This donation
was presented to the Head HA/Chairman of RLAF Mosques Committee, Hj Paiman.
