On this Day
On this day in 1980, scientists at the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory in California
discovered the 15th moon orbiting Saturn.
On this day in 1997, Chinese engineers
diverted the Yangtze River to make way for
the Three Gorges Dam.
On this day in 1885, Canadas
transcontinental railway was completed.

James Webb Telescope

After over 20 years of hard work, the James
Webb Telescope has finished construction.
The James Webb Telescope will be able to
bring us closer to seeing the edge of the
galaxy. To begin use, the telescope will go
through launch phase environment testing
and will later go on to Northrop Grumman to
have its sub shield bust developed.

Google Investments
With the unveiling of Googles new phone,
Pixel, the tech company also announced
their plans to invest in Snapchat. Although
no indications have been made with regards
to the amount of investment, it is clear to see
Googles plans with expanding toward the
social media aspect of the tech world.
Additionally, Alphabet Inc., the multinational

conglomerate serving as the parent company

of Google, has halted on their launch of
Google Fiber, a device meant to provide fast
broadband Internet and cable television.

Comma.ai
Comma.ai, a startup company in Silicon
Valley, unveiled a product that would be able
to make any car self-driving. Comma.ai
debuted their product utilizing a truck to
make a delivery of 50,000 cans of beverage.
Unfortunately, with the regulations on road
safety, this product was prevented from
being released in the U.S. and is currently
exploring other potential markets.

Betabrand
In late October, Betabrand hosted its second
annual Fashion Show aimed at featuring
clothing that is inspired by technology. This
includes programmable clothes, headphone
necklaces, as well as multipurpose clothes
(i.e. a jacket that unfolds to a blanket).
