Laws governing growth of IT :

Moores Law
Every eighteen months, processing power
doubles while cost holds constant - time to
revise this to 100 days

Metcalfes Law
The more people who use your software, your
network, your standard, your game, or your
book, the more valuable it becomes, and the
more users it will attract, increasing both its
utility and the speed of its adoption by still more
users.

The Law of Disruption ----- Every new technology results in changes in

and almost in the same order. The first one

being the fastest and the last being the

Richness and Reach of IT

Richness is a function of Bandwidth,
Interactivity, and Customization
whereas Reach is number of people
exchanging information

Relationships, Loyalty, and Trust are all the

products of rich exchanges of information
among people.
