Introduction: Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VG 2017):

Connecting India to the World
Often referred to as the Davos of the East, the 8th edition of the Vibrant
Gujarat Global Summit would be held from the 10th to 13th of January 2017
at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.
The central focus of the Summit is Sustainable Economic and Social
Development. It will bring together heads of states and governments,
ministers, leaders from the corporate world, senior policy makers, heads of
international institutions and academia from around the world to further the
cause of development and to promote cooperation.
It is envisaged that the 8th edition of the summit would garner greater

compared to the previous summit editions. The objective of VG 2017
1) Leverage Gujarats manufacturing leadership and economic strength to
connect the global investor with India and the state
2) Attract the brightest minds from across the world to ideate, showcase
innovation and best practices, and discuss their application to the state
and the nation
3) Facilitate strategic alliances between Governments, Industry and
Academia
4) Empower India to compete with the best global economies
5) Provide a platform for global business networking
6) Promote Vibrant Gujarat as a global business event, and not merely an
