Mr. Lal has completed Master in planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Jan. 1999. He
worked as Planning Expert for the preparation of District Periodic Plans in National Planning Commission and
reviewed and provided critical remarks on periodic district development plan of different districts (30 districts); He
also conducted 2 weeks training on the process of preparation of periodic plan for district planners of western
development region. He worked as Team Leader/Planner for Pre-feasibility study for the identification of sites,
infrastructure development and design and cost estimates of the establishment of SEZ at Birgunj and as Team
Leader for A Study on Prospects of Export Industries and Operation & Management Aspect of Export Processing
Zone (EPZ) at Bhairahawa through CEMECA Consultant P. Ltd. for Special Economic Zone Project, Babarmahal,
Kathmandu. He also worked for preparation of local area development plan of eleven urbanizing VDCs of
Katmandu valley namely, Katunje, Gongbu, Saibu Bhisepati(2001), Dhapakhel, Jorpati, Sitapaila, Duwakot 2002,

Regional Planning and Urban Informal Sector to the M.Sc Planning students. He has co-ordinated the study team
for various studies like Base Map preparation, formulation of Detail plan for Management of Sewerage, Solid
waste; River training, River side driveway and Land Development along the river corridors of Kathmandu Valley;
Inventory study of Archeological and Cultural and Social Sites along the river corridor. He also worked as deputy
team leader for the preparation of detailed project report of Ichangu Land Pooling Project. He has also worked as
Irrigation Engineer in detailed design of Rajapur Irrigation Project, Preliminary study of Koshi West Irrigation
Project and other irrigation projects.
Mr. Lal has presented a paper in an International seminar on Pricing and Costing of Urban Infrastructure held in
Delhi on Feb. 8-10, 1999; a paper in a two-day national level workshop on Private Initiation for
Municipal and Hospital Waste Management on September 17-18, 2000. Organized by Society of Environmental
Journalists in Kathmandu. Mr Lal also presented paper on "formation of new FMIS and their dynamism". Besides
he has also participated in world congress on Disaster Management held in Delhi 2004 and other national seminars
in the country. Mr. Lal has been trained on Auto CAD, GIS (Arc View, ILWIS) MS Office.,
