HISTORY
In early 1974, SKM commissioned pilot production of air conditioning & refrigeration
equipment complying with International Standard product deigns and technology.
OUR POLICY
As part of SKMs policy of continuous product development, we completed an
ambitious factory expansion program in 1984, and entered into a Licensing and
Technical Agreement to manufacture most Standard Packaged and Ducted Split air
conditioning units.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Since our inception, we have followed a philosophy of Total Customer Satisfaction.
This commitment to Total Customer Satisfaction, and the trust that our customers
place in us, has enabled SKM to face and overcome stiff competition from major
international players. In our endeavor to provide our customers with the latest and
the best in technology, in 1994, SKM entered into a Technology Transfer Agreement
to produce innovative energy efficient products with unique applications for the Gulf
area. These products, specifically SwimPool is now manufactured by SKM with the
prototype units fully performance tested.
OUR FACTORY
Today, SKM Air Conditioning is totally indigenously designed, engineered and built
at our new factory in industrial area #13 of Sharjah. We take pride in the fact that
this factory covers an area of 43,000 sq.m, and is one of the largest air conditioned
facilities of its kind in the entire Gulf region. We are pleased that our units provide
continuous excellent performance in the highly corrosive Gulf environments, and in
other specific applications such as Onshore and Offshore Oil Installations, Sewage
Treatment Plants and Ammunition Depots etc.
SKM is committed to offer products of superior quality at competitive prices.
Whether it is a one off Custom Built Unit, or any of our standard units, which are
manufactured and sold in volume by SKM each year, our philosophy remains one of

Service GmbH, Germany production monitored and capacity tested for PACL Series and
CE standards and its Quality & Environment Management System certified in accordance
to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 and implementing Occupational health and safety
management system in accordance to OHSAS 18001:2007 and Quality system and
Competency of Testing Laboratory in accordance to ISO 17025:2005.
Our financial stability during the tough times of economic crisis, yearly exponential growth,
stability in market and confidence of our highly qualified employees has definitely made
us do wonders as the only HVAC manufacturer in the Gulf. Our profitability has broken
many records which have in turn made us acquire more sophisticated manufacturing tools
that not only promote our product line but also add to enhanced quality of our unmatched

Testing Laboratory
SKM Testing Laboratory is primarily dedicated in Research and Development of SKM product
line to further strengthen its quality and to contribute in solving Heating, Ventilating, and Airconditioning industry issues. It also offers comprehensive range of performance tests for SKM
customers and other air-conditioning equipment manufacturers and any interested parties.
SKM Laboratory testing procedures are based on AMCA, ASHRAE and ARI standards which
cover operating performance, cooling and heating capacity, energy consumption, air flow rate,
and the likes whichever is applicable.
For almost seven (7) years, SKM testing laboratory is run by qualified engineers and technicians to ensure quality test output. Nowadays, SKM laboratory engineers and staff are following & implementing ISO 17025 which covers competency of testing laboratory.
SKM laboratory set-up has been designed and built in accordance with:
ASHRAE 30 - Methods of Testing Liquid Chilling packages
ASHRAE 37 -Method of Testing for Rating Electrically Driven Unitary Air-conditioning and
Heat Pump Equipment
ASHRAE 41.1 Standard Method for Temperature Measurement
ASHRAE 41.2 Standard Method for Laboratory Airflow Measurement
ASHRAE 41.3 Standard Method for Pressure Measurement
ASHRAE 41.6 Standard Method of Measurement of Moist Air Properties
ASHRAE 51 Laboratory Methods of Testing Fans for Aerodynamic Performance Rating
ASHRAE 79 Method of Testing for Rating Fan-Coil Conditioners
The facility is made up of an indoor, outdoor and computerized control room. Computerized
control room allows flexibility to control different variables for a certain test procedure for specific unit. Indoor side contains psychrometric loop wherein reconditioning equipment and airflow
measuring apparatus are integrated. The outdoor side temperature is being controlled based
on the required ambient temperature for the test unit.
