Course Description
This course basically deals with the understanding of a variety of technical

engineering drawings as well as the introduction of using the AutoCAD and

BIM tools (Revit).
The course focuses on not only the improvement of freehand sketching

skill for engineering drawings but also the graphical interpretation of

orthographic projection including section views, dimensioning, translation
of design instructions in detail, assembly drawings, construction drawings
and so on.
And this will place an emphasis on practical learning with regard to

understand engineering drawings for students.

What is Engineering Drawing?

An engineering drawing, a type of technical drawing, is used to fully and clearly
define requirements for engineered items.
Engineering drawing (the activity) produces engineering drawings (the documents).
More than just drawings, it is also a languagea graphical language that
communicates ideas and information from one mind to another. Most especially, it
communicates all needed information from the engineer who designed a part to the
workers who will make it.
