#1: Cuddles

Hey Papyrus, this monster is cooking spaghetti," Sans commented, lounging

on the couch with a remote. Papyrus hugged you closer to him in, bursting
with excitement.
"Oh my god! Sans, keep it on!" the skeleton exclaimed. Sans shrugged and
set the remote next to him.
"Alright, bro. Nothing good is on, anyway," he replied. You looked up to see
Papyrus, blushing at the fact he held you so close to him. If he realized it, he
would've pulled away and act bashful, he was still new to this whole
'relationship' thing.
"Make sure you use the right tomato sauce for your high quality spaghetti to
make your dinner fabulous," the pink cat on the screen said, "that's why I
recommend Terry Tom's Tremendous Tomato Sauce."
Papyrus gently scoffed, aware of your presence next to him. "They always
advertise that in cooking shows these days."
Your body shuffled slightly.
"Papyrus, not so loud. I'm tired."
The skeleton looked down at you fondly. "Oh, sorry human. I'll try to be quiet,
because I am great at that!"
"And I bet you are," you responded. Papyrus' face flushed with pink, which
you found adorable, as he turned his attention back to the television. As the
program went on, you were becoming more and more tired. You stared at the
TV as the colors mixed and words jumbled in tiredness, but it bored you. You
gazed up at Papyrus with fond E/C eyes, taking in all of his glory. He was quite
handsome, you had to admit, but he also had such a divine personality. One
of the perks of being in a relationship was being able to stare at your
boyfriend without causing awkwardness. And Papyrus didn't even notice,
which was a bonus.
You slowly shuffled closer to him, and nuzzled yourself against the skeleton.
He was warm, and you begun to fall asleep comforted by this.
"Gah, commercials," Papyrus mused. He noticed you were awfully silent. The
skeleton looked down at you, and saw the small, peaceful smile on your face.
It filled him with ease, and compelled him to wrap his arm around you.
"The human looks as marvelous as my spaghetti," he said to himself, gently
ruffling your hair. "She is very great, I'm happy to have someone like her." His
grip tightened, filled with thoughts of protecting you.

"Don't hug 'er too hard," Sans warned. As if on cue you squirmed a bit and
Papyrus panicked.
"Ahh-sorry! I hope my muscular arm did not squish your fragile body!"
You yawned, too tired to care. "What you were doing before was nice, I like
cuddles..."
Papyrus tilted his head, but then snapped his fingers in realization.
"Ahhh, cuddles! I heard about that in my dating guidebook. I, the great
Papyrus, will be the best at cuddling! I read that it involved kisses though, but
I have no lips."
You nuzzled your forehead against this, giggling when he blushed.
"It's okay. This moment, here and now, is perfect."

#2: Nightmare

"Give me your soul, and I will reset this world," they said. "You still have one
thing I want."
You hesitated, biting your lip as you stared into Chara's eyes. Everything was
gone. You never got back home, this was the first time you had control over
your body in ages. The human possessing you had finally shown her true
form, but that didn't mean the scars were healed. Far from it.
They killed them. Your friends, enemies, bystanders, every monster Chara
encountered... except Burgerpants because he was invincible.
Toriel, Sans, Flowey, Mettaton, Undyne, Asgore, Muffet, but Papyrus' death
haunted you the most. They had killed him a different way than the others, as
if they knew you held a deep affection towards him. And even then, he still
believed in you. Believed in them.
"Well?" Chara asked, findling with their knife impatiently. You were forced
back into reality with a blink of tearing E/C eyes.
"No," you decided firmly, "you killed all my friends. I have nothing left to
value!"

"I can bring them back, idiot!" Chara spat, "don't you want to see your friends
again? You love them! The goat mom, the weaboo reptile, the flower, I
especially felt your affections whirl inside me when I met that annoying
skeleton. You love him in a different way, don't you? Just give me your soul,
and he won't be destroyed anymore."
You wanted to say yes so badly, but a stone of doubt weighed in your belly. It
sounded too good to be true.
"No."
Chara tilted their head slightly. "No? Since when were YOU the one in
control?!"
You barely had time to process it. Chara raised their knife and threw
themselves onto you, screeching wildly as they stabbed your chest. You felt
abysmal pain as an uncountable number of nine's crossed your vision, more
damage ever dealt than you could ever imagine. Everything went black, for
good this time. Your soul was gone. You lostThen you woke up. You were so horrified no scream could come out of your
lungs as you sat up on the couch. E/C eyes were widened and tears streaked
your face. Everything was black, further bringing you terror, and for a
moment you thought you were still dreaming.
Your feet touched the cold floor, making shivers go down your spine. The
gentle creaking of your footsteps echoed throughout the house as you walked
upstairs somewhat hurriedly, fearing Chara would catch you if you didn't
come fast enough. You needed comfort from the most important person in
your life, Papyrus. Your heart lurched as the thought of him battling Chara
played in your head, causing you to shiver fearfully. Your stood in front of the
door, then slowly opened it...
'Is he still alive?' you thought. 'Wait, of course he is. I'm just being paranoid.'
You approached the race car bed and saw the peaceful form of Papyrus
sleeping. You wondered if you should leave him alone, but then Chara crossed
your mind. You gently tugged his blanket.
"Nyeh..." Papyrus groaned, shuffling around slightly, "don't wake me up Sans,
go away."
"Papyrus, it's me," you said. The skeleton's pupils appeared in his sockets as
he woke.
"Oh, human! What're you doing here? Yawn...the great Papyrus needs his
beauty sleep."

"I-I, I need to sleep with you," you told him, "I had a nightmare and I'm really
scared."
Papyrus' expression softened in understanding, and he moved on one side of
the bed to make room for you. You got on and he wrapped his blanket around
you.
"Do not worry human, the great Papyrus will protect you from, yaaawn, any
terrible creature," he promised drowsily. You nodded softly, and the skeleton
got comfortable before falling asleep again. His breath eased with gentle
rises and falls of his chest, and he sometimes snored, "Nyeh heh heh," in his
slumber. Such serenity and innocence pulled you into a state of tired bliss,
knowing that everything was alright.
'I'm so happy I have all my friends,' you thought before you were pulled into a
deep sleep, 'I really care about you, Papyrus. I love you...'
#3: Snow

"Now Sans is going to be at Grillby's all day," Papyrus sighed, the snow
crunching beneath him as he walked.
"But we have the whole day to ourselves," you replied eagerly, "I think that's
better than having to deal with Sans' puns!"
Papyrus perked up. "That's right, human! We can make spaghetti and do
puzzles without being interrupted!"
You giggle and look ahead, seeing a big pile of snow. A devious idea came to
mind, you could tackle Papyrus into the snow!
"Hey Papyrus, what's that behind you?"
The skeleton turned around and glanced over Snowdin. "I see snow, snow
and..."
"Gotcha!" you yelled and ran headfirst into your skeleton boyfriend, catching
him off guard and tumbling backwards into the snow pile. You held onto him
tightly as you both fell in without grace, cold wrapping around you like a
blanket. You two were silent for a moment, but Papyrus broke it with loud
laughter catching the attention of a few citizens in Snowdin.
"Nyeh heh heh heh!" he exclaimed, "wowie, human! You were surprisingly
tough! You managed to catch the great Papyrus off guard with your massive
charm."

You sat up and wriggled around to get snow off of you, unable to hold back
cute giggles, and smiled bashfully. Papyrus affectionately ruffled your hair,
making you blush at his touch.
"Well, I guess I learned a thing or two-ACHOO!"
You were interrupted mid-sentence by a sneeze. Papyrus tilted his head.
"Oh, is that what humans do when they're cold? I forgot you felt such things,
human!" he commented. You sneezed again, this time Papyrus rose to his
feet and took you into his arms.
"Do not worry! I, the great Papyrus, will warm you up with my love! You will
feel warmer than Grillby! And what better way to warm you up then heat up
some of my deluxe spaghetti?"
You shivered against Papyrus' warm chest, nodding at the suggestion. "Ththat sounds wonderful, Papyrus...ACHOO!".
#4: Christmas
"A gift for me?" Sans pondered as he took the present out of your hands. "I
didn't think you care that much."
You flash a smile at the short skeleton.
"All of my friends matter," you told him. Papyrus peeked over to see the
present.
"Oooooh! Open it, Sans! Frisk must have gotten you something great!".
A light blush covered your cheeks. Papyrus knew how to flatter you in the
easiest of ways, making you want to squeal. The feeling in your chest was
indescribable, it was so mushy but you liked it nonetheless.
"I-It's not that great, heh," you reply sheepishly, "I didn't spend much money
on it".
Papyrus shook his head at you. "Nonsense! It's easy for you to always get us
the right gift," he said, "very easy. Too easy, in fact. No, THREE EASY!"
Sans shrugged. "I'll be the judge of that."
The skeleton hooked a skinny finger around the red wrapping paper,
delicately, then shredded it in two seconds. He furiously opened the box, and
looked inside. The contents were ketchup, mustard, and relish.
"Wow," Sans chuckled, "you actually got me a good gift! I can finally ketchup
with my work."

Papyrus held up his fist in anger. "Really, Sans?! Ugh, you never go a day
without making a single pun!"
"What can I say? I MUSTARD up the courage to say a pun. Now Frisk can relish
in it's glory"
"Okay, that's enough," you interrupt, before anything else could happen.
Sans took a card out of his pocket and handed it to you.
"What is this?" you ask. Sans winked at you.
"A free coupon for Grillby's."
Papyrus immediately handed you his own gift, glaring at his brother. "I, the
great Papyrus, give the human a marvelous gift! So much better than Sans."
You carefully unwrap the gift, taking note of how it's a bit torn in some places.
Papyrus grinned wide.
"This present is so amazing that even the great Papyrus had to resist opening
it for himself," he commented eagerly. You opened the box and found a
strange plush doll of what looked to be Papyrus.
"Now, I can be with you all the time!" he exclaimed proudly, "you shall never
feel lonely ever again. My warm embrace and cotton heart will fill you with all
the love you could desire!"
You gave him a peck on the cheek. "It's spectacular, Papyrus. I love you~"
Sans tilted his head.
"What did you get for him?"
As soon as he said that, the doorbell rang as if on cue. You stood up and
strode to the front door, taking money out of your pockets as you opened the
door.
An orange cat stood outside, shivering from the cold. "A-a-are you Frisk? Here
is your MTT Brand Supreme Package, made with the love and care of
Mettaton himself. Sparkle up your day."
You took the package out of the cat monster's freezing paws, and gave him
your cash with a smile. The cat's tail twitched.
"Th-thank you for purchasing our product, have a g-g-great day. God, I prefer
Hotland so much more now..."
You shut the door and trotted back to your boyfriend, who was staring at you
with curiosity glittering in his eye sockets. He excitedly took it out of your

hands and ripped it open"HELLOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL FANS!!" Mettaton EX yelled, somehow jumping
out of the package. Papyrus yelped and suddenly cameras and lights
surrounded you, him and Sans.
"And now we're back to Killer Robot Meets His Psycho Fans!" Mettaton EX said
to the camera, wrapping his arm around an anxious Papyrus, "here we have a
resident of Snowdin Town, Sans! So, I heard you were training to be a part of
the Royal Guard. That's some JUICY stuff right there! What's it like being
around the captain Undyne?"
Papyrus waved to the camera and tried to stop his legs from shaking.
"O-Oh my god, the human got me on TV?! Hi everyone! I'm the great
Papyrus, by the way. A-and training with Undyne is really-"
"Lovely story sir. Any last words?" Mettaton EX asked.
"The great Papyrus-he'll be-I'm going to...I love my girlfriend Frisk!"
You blushed lightly, and Sans bursted out laughing. Mettaton EX said
something about how cute you and Papyrus were, then left the house with
the camera and lights disappearing with him. Your skeleton boyfriend was a
blushing mess, you grabbed his hand to feel it shivering. You kissed him
gently, stroking his hand.
"Merry Christmas, Papy~"
Papyrus nuzzled your forehead against his. "Merry Christmas to you too,
human."
#5: Starlight
You passed by the Echo Flowers, not caring if they repeated what you said, as
an excited Papyrus followed behind you. His skeleton hand was intertwined
with yours as he let you lead the way.
"Human, are we going to see the 'stars'?" he asked. You nodded, and Papyrus
gazed up at the roof to see glittering rocks. They shone brilliantly, but you
were looking for a spot where they would be the most dazzling.
"Ahhh... here!"
You settled yourself on a dry spot, where water wouldn't cover your legs, and
Papyrus let go of your hand. He let his sockets wander the area, amazed at all
the bright blue rocks shining so wonderfully, especially in this spot. You, too,
were a bit overwhelmed at the sight, a glimmer of pride swelling in your

chest knowing YOU picked this great spot. Echo Flowers were all around, so
there was doubt they'd repeat whatever conversation you'd have with
Papyrus here.
"I haven't been here in awhile," Papyrus admitted bashfully, "Sans used to
take me out to look at these shiny rocks, but he never does it anymore. What
a lazybones, it's a lot better with you around, human."
"I think this place is beautiful," you reply, "if it weren't for Undyne hunting me
down, I would've stared at these forever".
Papyrus laughed loudly, his voice echoed throughout the quiet room. It may
have shocked other people from other areas of the Waterfall, but you gotten
used to it.
"Well, Undyne was extremely motivated on taking your soul!" he replied, but
then his tone softened a little.
"I'm glad she didn't, though. Although I'm very tough, I'd cry if you were
captured."
A giggle escaped your lips. "That's a bit silly, Papyrus. You know the Echo
Flowers will repeat our speech."
The skeleton put a hand on his 'battle body' passionately, scarf blowing
somehow.
"It's the truth which is all that matters, dear human! I'll express my feelings
however I wish, and who wouldn't to hear my amazing voice? You hold my
heart in your tiny palm, human, and I pride in dazzling you with my loving
words and kind nuzzles!"
You were flattered, Papyrus always managed to do this to you. A ray of
sunlight filled your heart when he spoke to you with such honesty and
undying devotion in his voice, and your heartbeat increased whenever your
forehead or cheek was rubbed against his as act of affection. It was a bit
awkward, because he couldn't kiss, but you could still tell he loved you dearly.
What a goofball, but he was just the cutest thing.
"Oh, alright," you assure, "I don't mind if others hear us."
"Nyeh heh heh! The great Papyrus prevails!" the skeleton exclaimed. You look
back to the glittering rocks and slowly, a silence falls between you two. The
only sounds were the flowing water, calming your nerves.
Papyrus looked towards you. You were deeply concentrated on the rocks, E/C
eyes beaming with interest. It caused him to stupidly smile, the giddy feeling
in his chest urging him to do something. His gloved hand began to move,

shaking violently with nervousness, and went to grab yours.

Your hands remained at a very short distance for a moment, the skeleton
pondering wether to actually do this or not, and grabbed yours. Instantly you
whipped your head around to look at Papyrus and a bead of sweat went down
his face. He quickly realized that he had to say something.
"H-Human," he stuttered, light pink on his cheeks and he tugged his scarf
sheepishly, "you're really beautiful."
You blinked, surprised that Papyrus called you that. It wasn't like he didn't
ever compliment you, but this one was just so sincere. There was no
amusement in his voice, although nervous he was indeed serious about what
he said. So, you grabbed your skeleton boyfriend's scarf and tugged him
closer until your faces met. Papyrus was unable to speak, for your soft human
lips met his teeth, his pupils disappearing for a moment as he wrapped his
arm around your waist and caressed your cheek.
#6: Passionate
Your skeleton boyfriend set the plate on the table swiftly, quickly sitting on
the chair in front of yours. He had a rose in his mouth to look classy, and it
was obvious Papyrus had done a few things before your date: He probably
used perfume, because he smelled like cinnamon, and his bones looked extra
shiny today. Your eyes scanned his form, to which Papyrus followed your gaze
and smiled. You felt heat rise to your cheeks, the beating of your heart
getting faster just from one simple gesture.
"My sweet human! I, the great Papyrus, have prepared a high quality date for
us to enjoy! As you can see I made myself extra spiffy. I now give you
permission to talk about how much you love me while indulging in my
exquisite spaghetti."
Your E/C gaze looked down to the spaghetti. It was the same as every other,
but, there was only one plate. Instantly romantic thoughts rushed into your
mind, quickly overwhelming you, and you hoped Papyrus didn't notice that an
intense blush was growing on your face. You grabbed a fork and dunked it in
the pasta a few seconds after Papyrus, who was already eating.
After the skeleton swallowed, which made you wonder how he could eat, he
started talking. There was almost never a quiet moment with him around.
"On Mettaton's show, Cooking With A Killer Robot, Mettaton talked about
dumping the sauce in the pot as the water boiled," Papyrus began. You
nodded as you chewed on your food, issuing him to go on.
"Apparently that makes the sauce have a sort of 'flare' to it! I was so amazed

by the discovery, Mettaton is such a genius! He even got Dr. Alphys to try out
his pasta. She said it was the worst thing she ever put into her mouth. Wowie,
it was such a passionate reaction! You could really hear the honesty in her
voice!"
There he was, rambling. Like a car he was driven onward, yet it didn't even
matter to you. No matter what Papyrus talked about, however weird or
bizarre it may be, you absolutely loved it. He was so passionate about his
interests, always speaking with an enthusiasm that never ceased to fade, and
he looked overjoyed while doing so. It was so easy to tell, just by that gleam
in his sockets. You began to zone out and stare at the skeleton, mindlessly
eating more and more spaghetti, as you watched Papyrus' mouth move like
the time that went by.
"Undyne's expression was....piano and feeding grapes.....slacking off at
Grillby's......Washing Your Hands With Mettaton came on...."
Papyrus finally took a moment to take a break. He exhaled and took a bite of
spaghetti. At the same time, you began to chew on yours, and you suddenly
noticed this one noodle was rising.
'Oh.'
You glanced up to see a confused Papyrus. He notice how close your faces
were, and his skull flushed pink. You could get closer. Papyrus sqeaked a little
when your movements eased closer to his own face, devouring the noodle as
you went. You heard him grip his chair apprehensively but the skeleton didn't
back down: Of course he wouldn't. He brought himself closer to you, and your
lips nearly collided with his mouthBut then the noodle broke.
Papyrus looked relieved. "Oh, human. I am deeply sorry for that. The art of,
um, 'kissing' still makes me nervous. But, judging by your expression, you
seem to be agitated. Don't worry, I'll make things all better! I'll do anything
for my sexy human~".
And with that, he added a charming wink to his statement. Your breath
hitched. It was so odd for him to call you that, but you sort of liked it. Papyrus
leaned forward, and pressed his mouth to your cheek with a low hum. It felt
strange, but intimate and very 'Papyrus', so you nuzzled back.
7: Alone/Reconciliation
"Hi Papy, how did the assessment go?" you asked the skeleton. Papyrus
glanced down at you, scratching the back of his spine.

"Err, it was okay," he responded weakly, "I didn't do as well as I thought, and I
couldn't get into the Royal Guard this time".
"Aww, I'm sure you'll get it next time."
Papyrus seemed to be glancing out the window, before he turned to you and
smiled. "Right, the great Papyrus will always succeed!"
You smiled back, taking his hand in yours.
"Okay, wanna watch TV? Cooking With A Killer robot comes on in five
minutes-"
"Actually, I don't want to," Papyrus replied reluctantly, he noticed your
disappointed expression and hesitated. "I-I mean, the great Papyrus has seen
all the episodes. It'll probably just be a replay, so there's no point. I'll be up in
my room if you need me, okay human?"
You nodded in understanding, watching as the skeleton trotted up the stairs,
quickly closing the door to his bedroom. Though confused yet a bit relieved,
you were becoming tired of Mettaton's show. But something more important
struck you.
Why was Papyrus acting so strange?

The short skeleton, Sans, welcomed you into his room, and shut the door
behind you. He put his arms behind his head casually.
"So, what's going on? It must be pretty important."
"Papyrus hasn't been himself," you told him, "he's been a little sad after
failing his assessment."
Sans shrugged. "I don't expect him to be happy all the time. If you failed
something you really cared about, wouldn't that get you down?"
Your shoulders slumped.
"He won't even watch Mettaton's television shows anymore."
The skeleton tensed. "It's that bad, huh?"
He charged out towards Papyrus' own bedroom.
"Don't worry, I'll fix this. It just takes a bit of encouragement and hugs to get
him up and running again. He's that cool".

Sans knocked on the door, a nervous human behind him. He called out to
Papyrus.
"Hey bro, you okay in there?"
It took an awfully silent moment for Papyrus to respond. Even so, he sounded
halfhearted.
"Nyeh heh heh, I'm absolutely fine Sans! I'm just tired and need some rest.
Tell the cute little human that the great Papyrus will be up in a few hours!"
Sans reached out to open the door. "Alright, just coming in to make sure."
You trotted into your boyfriend's room and saw him sitting on his bed,
wearing a smile on his face. He yawned.
"Nyehh...hi Sans. Hi human. Can you leave me alone please?"
Said skeleton sat next to his brother, laying a hand on his shoulder.
"Just making sure your okay," Sans replied gently, taking note of every little
thing Papyrus did. You watched from the door, feeling too awkward to
interrupt.
The taller brother took hold of Sans' arm and slowly lowered it onto the bed.
"I, err, don't need your help right now. Really. The great Papyrus is more
'okay' than he was earlier today! In fact, I feel bodacious. Why else wouldn't
the human kiss me when I done something cute?"
"But I just want to remind you," Sans responded, "even if Undyne doesn't
think you're cool, me and the kid will always appreciate your coolness. Heck,
your puzzles are super smart!"
Papyrus wasn't flushing from the compliment like he normally would. "Why
are my puzzles smart if even the human got past them easily?"
Sans flinched.
"Well, you work very hard on them."
Papyrus stood up off his bed, groaning to himself.
"That doesn't matter when it comes to how good the puzzle actually is, Sans,
I know you'll never understand the knowledge I have from my intelligent
mind."
He gently pushed you out of the way as he went to leave the room, not even
looking straight at you.

"I-I'm going outside, turns out I wasn't actually tired, nyeh heh heh."
When you and Sans got out, Papyrus was already downstairs, grabbing the
door nob.
"Whee are you going?" Sans asked. The taller skeleton flinched under you
and Sans' gazes.
"Just to try out some puzzles, I have to improve if I want to be the greatest!"
Sans slowly walked down the stairs as he spoke. "Don't lie to me, Papyrus, I
know you like the back of my hand. I can tell you're lying."
The skeleton turned his head to look at Sans.
"I want to be alone, can you please just give me that?"
"If you're bothered by something, you know you can talk to me about it,"
Sans told him. Papyrus nearly flung the door open, cold winds from outside
blowing his scarf.
"Sans, I don't need your help," he snapped, "I don't want it from anyone
anymore."
The older brother was at the bottom of the stairs now, gazing at Papyrus as
though he just realized he was fully grown.
"This isn't like you at all, Undyne's really getting to you! Let-"
"Would you just let me be, already?!" Papyrus yelled. "This has nothing to do
with Undyne, you clearly haven't been paying attention to me if you think
something so...so stupid!"
And with that, Papyrus stormed out of the house, slamming the door behind
him.
"What just happened?" you asked Sans, who looked just as shocked as you
were. The skeleton placed a hand on his forehead, sighing.
"I don't know," he admitted, "I can always relate to my bro. He's been angry
many times before, kiddo, but never have I seen him like this. Whatever is
bothering Papyrus, it must be really REALLY getting him down to make him
act this way."
He looked you straight in the eyes, right eye glowing a blue color.
"If a person is doing this, well, they won't be alive any time soon."
"Now now, let's not resort to fighting," you soothed gently, "what we have to

do first is find out where Papyrus actually went. Trust me when I say I love
him too, it shatters my SOUL to see him this way, and I want to help."
Sans put his hands in his pockets. "I know you ain't lying to me kid, ever since
you got together with Papyrus you haven't, well..."
"I think he's out in the woods," you immediately interrupted. Sans stared at
you for a moment, before nodding his head. "I-I, well, just have this feeling
he's there..."

The tall trees loomed above you, dark shadows just as big casting onto the
forest floor. Branches broke under your feet, which Sans commented was
quite ironic since he cracked a large branch the first time you met. This area
was always so nice and welcoming, but now seemed like a never ending
maze, you're emotionally conflicted lover at the end of said maze. But, like
always, you had determination, with the addition of a skeleton who cared just
as much for Papyrus as you, the only difference being the type of love.
"All of his puzzles have been deactivated," you noted, glancing back at the
invisible electricity maze. A shattered blue orb lay in the middle, wind starting
to scatter small pieces around.
"Broken, even," Sans replied, his slippers leaving marks in the snow. "I don't
get why Papyrus would do this. Sure, the puzzles aren't that good, but he
worked so hard on them. I was actually kinda proud when they functioned
properly, and he looked so ecstatic..."
When a more powerful gust of wind blew, you stumbled backwards on your
feet, Sans supporting you. Most of Snowdin Forest looked the same, but it
was easy to track your lover by following the huge footprints he left in the
snow. There seemed to be ruckus going on ahead, and it only got louder the
closer you got. You noticed Sans was shivering, and not just because of the
cold.
"He's not far away," you informed him in a comforting tone. The skeleton
nodded in acknowledgement, his tense form eased just a little.
Sounds of Gaster Blasters and bones breaking could be heard, and Sans ran
ahead of you anxiously. You had to catch up so you didn't loose him.
"Sans, wait!" you exclaimed, but your call was ignored. He only stopped when
a large blue bone was slammed into a tree, the force of the attack causing it
to tumble down and nearly hit Sans. You ran to his side, gasping in shock.
"Did Papyrus do that?" you asked.

"I'm pretty sure," the skeleton replied. The two of you looked ahead, and saw
Papyrus standing in a clearing with his back turned. A light blue bone was
held in each hand, countless others lying on the ground like bodies. Even a
few trees, once standing tall and proud, fell under his might. Wether they
simply collapsed, shredded apart, or split in half.
"Why can't I do this right?" he muttered to himself. You were hardly able to
get what he said before the taller skeleton whipped himself around and
summoned more bones, appropriately blue colored. His grip on his supposed
weapons tightened, and he began to slash at the objects he created with
brutal strength, each either shattering immediately or being rammed into a
tree around him. Papyrus' eye flared a fiery orange, as he charged at the
nearest tree and sliced it into two, falling onto the other bones in the clearing.
The skeleton was panting erratically, and glanced down at his chest, seeing
how his armor rose and fell with each breath. He shook his head, as though
having a mental battle with himself, and all of a sudden Gaster Blasters
circled around him, each one's maw wide open as beams formed.
Papyrus gazed up at the ceiling, his body struggling to stand as tears
streamed down his face. They fell onto the ground like the trees he attacked,
and Papyrus quickly wiped them away, before the Gaster Blasters fired at
him.
"NO!!" Sans yelled, turning his brother's SOUL blue and stopping the Gaster
Blasters before they could hit. Papyrus gasped in alarm, turning to see you
and Sans.
"Papyrus, what were you THINKING?!" his brother shrieked, wiping his sockets
with his sleeve.
"Sans, why are you here?" Papyrus snapped back, "do you not trust me
enough to train on my own?"
You finally decided to cut in, adding your own two cents. "This is too
dangerous, Papyrus!"
"It's not dangerous if you know what you are doing," your boyfriend retorted.
"If I want to become a member of the Royal Guard, I have to get stronger!
This isn't enough. Undyne told me I couldn't get in for one reason, that I was
too 'nice'. So I need to prove to her I can be tough."
"This is tough enough," Sans assured, walking up to his brother and patting
him on the back. The Gaster Blasters vanished.
"No it's not, it won't ever be," Papyrus sobbed.
"Are you seeing this, bro? Look around you, for crying out loud. You're using

bones as spears, destroying trees, you literally destroyed one a few seconds
ago! If that ain't worthy of a silly old Royal Guard position, I don't know what
is."
He looked at you, causing Papyrus to follow his gaze.
"Think of Frisk."
You found it to be the right time to step in, having to step over the tree before
coming up to the brothers.
"H-human!" Papyrus exclaimed, "I'm so sorry. I must have made you really
scared, haven't I? I-I promise I will make you all the spaghetti you want back
home-MMPH!!".
The skeleton was cut off when you grabbed him by the skull and kissed him
fervently, lasting longer than most other, keeping his face close to yours even
when you broke apart.
"You don't need to prove yourself to anyone," you whispered against him,
"you're already strong, sweet, and overall perfect to me. I love you, Papyrus.
You're the coolest dude to me and Sans."
"She means it," Sans added. Papyrus gazed down at his gloved hands.
"But I made you worry, and said mean things..."
"We already forgive you, sweetie."
Tears caught in the skeleton's eyes again. He wrapped you and Sans in a
warm embrace, crying. You huddled against him, kissing his cheekbones,
giving him advice when he needed it. You wanted to make sure Papyrus was
never like this again.
