Partner with corporate executive management teams to plan and execute dynamic business strategies and infrastructure,
organizational development and culture change. Provide advice and recommendations to enable the firm to grow while
maintaining its regulatory responsibilities. In addition, manage the operating and capital budgets.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Signed contract with Ridge Eye Care physicians group to replace their patient paper chart system with and Electronic
Health Record System at their four locations.
Successfully negotiated a contract with the selected software vendor for their Electronic Health Record System saving
Ridge Eye Care $78,000 in contract fees.
Designed and implemented a customer educational plan that included a 45-day notice to the customer that

their patient paper chart was being converted to an electronic chart. The plan also included educational
information on the benefits to the patient.
Developed and received sign-off on an aggressive 3-month implementation project plan from Ridge Eye Care
Physicians group. System successfully implemented in 3 months at all locations.

SacValley MedShare Health Information Exchange
Founded SacValley MedShare Health Information Exchange (HIE). A non-for-profit organization in Northern Rural
California. Designed the marketing and sales plan, focused on improving the access to patient information at the time
patient care is delivered through the HIE. Managed a staff of 15 volunteer executives from the healthcare organizations
in the area. In addition, provided technical and managerial oversight to all aspects of day-to-day operations including
operating, capital budgets, Sales and Marketing.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Created the vision, leadership and was the Transformation Agent to form SacValley MedShare Health Information
Exchange without the aid of Federal or State Grant funding.

First year, budget $465,000 in revenue, $280,000 in expense, profit $185,000. Actual first years revenue $546,160,

Set up the SacValley MedShare Executive Team and organized bi-monthly meetings. Persuaded and educated fifteen
Health Care Organizations to commit one or more members of their management team to attend bi-monthly meetings.
First Health Information Exchange in the State of California to offer direct messaging to their clients.

Direct leadership of day-to-day operations of Information Services consisting of 48 FTEs including telecommunications and
Clinical Informatic Group. Responsible for both operating and capital budget totaling $22 Million covering applications,
technical, network and telecommunications support to ensure smooth and efficient business support to the organization.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Developed, presented and received approval from Senior Team and Hospital Executive Board on the cost and
reimbursement from the government for meeting Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Stage 2. Project cost $7.5 Million,
projected Government reimbursement $8 Million. Medical Center received $8.4 Million.
Created a Clinical Informatics Group consisting of Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists to implement a Clinical Provider
Order Entry and Bedside Medication Verification applications reporting to the Vice President of Nursing and CIO.

Bedside Medication Verification national standards for implementing bar code scanning of all medications,
first week 46 percent and 72 percent at the end of first month . Enloes bar code scanning of all
medications, first week 74 percent and 94 percent at the end of the first month.

Responsible for evaluation and analysis of systems and applications platforms to determine flexibility and ease of use on
current and future releases. Specialized in implementation of physician back office functions, call center and helpdesk.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Restructured department and negotiated Microsoft Enterprise agreement as well as two vendor software contracts
resulting in a reduction of operating costs by $130,000 per year.
Successfully re-designed and implemented Enloe Medical Center Information Services helpdesk process from a manual
to automated process with response times to customers moving from 2 to 4 hours to 5to 15 minutes.
