Day 1 Plan
When You Wake up

Mid Morning

Hot Water with Lemon and/or Ginger

16 oz. coconut water or 8 oz. vegetable broth

Makes 1 serving
Ingredients:

1 (250 ml/8 oz) cup water


inch (1 cm) piece of fresh root ginger
Juice of lemon
Dash of cayenne pepper, dried turmeric and black pepper (optional)
Directions:
1. Boil the water.
2. Place the ginger slices and/or lemon in a mug and pour in the water.
Add black pepper, cayenne and/or turmeric (optional).
3. Allow to steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on the strength of flavor
desired. Strain if you like, and drink.

Breakfast

Lunch:
Sunny Citrus Beet
Makes 2 servings (16-20 oz each, 500 ml)
Ingredients:

4 medium-sized beets
1 grapefruit
2 lemons
4 carrots
1 knob (1 inch) of turmeric
Directions:
1. Peel the grapefruit and lemon (optional) or scrub the lemon well.
2. Wash and scrub the remaining produce and chop to fit your juicer.
3. Add all ingredients through juicer and enjoy.

Ingredients:

Dash of ground cinnamon

Directions:

Carrot Apple Lemon

Ingredients:

2 cups of vegetable pulp


6-8 cups of water
2 sticks of lemongrass, chopped finely
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Fresh coriander, chopped
Salt and pepper
1-2 chile peppers, chopped (optional)

Directions

Boil water in pot, turn down heat and add pulp.


Add lemongrass, garlic, coriander, chile, salt and pepper.
Simmer for 2 hours covered.
Strain with a fine mesh colander over a bowl.

Dessert Juice

Ingredients:

1 small beet, peeled


1 red apple
1 orange, peeled
1 sprig mint
1 thin slice of orange

Add beet, orange, and apple through juicer.
Rub mint leaves on rim of martini glass then pour drink
into glass and enjoy.

Ingredients:

4 carrots
2 apples
1 lemon
1 to 2 fresh chile peppers* OR pinch cayenne pepper powder

Directions
1. Peel the lemon or scrub well.
2. Wash and scrub the remaining produce and chop to fit juicer, if necessary.
3. If using, add cayenne powder at the end, stir and enjoy.
