BLOOD SYSTEMS LABORATORIES - Clinical Lab Assistant 111

Decapped, racked, and filed vials of blood, ordered and stocked supplies. Inventory of
supplies project. Washed and pounded pk plates, removal of biohazard waste, processed
incoming samples of blood, cupping of samples.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS - –

• Wrote and presented upon request to Serology Department Director a work


environment model with ideas and solutions for a “Think Camp” committee which
were implemented through out the facility.

• Upon request of the Director of Blood Systems Laboratories, Tempe Facility, I


investigated and submitted findings into wasteful inventory management resulting in
a new Inventory Manager position with the savings of thousands.

EXPRESS SCRIPTS - Pharmacy Technician

Filled 43 prescriptions an hour in a mail order pharmacy, utilizing flexibility as a float by


covering all stations, including control 2 drugs. Responsible for the inventory of expired
medicines, data entry, filing, packing and warehouse duties.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS - –

• Advocated and promoted training programs for production employees which were
implemented through out the Tempe facility.

• Advocated and promoted handing over responsibilities from supervisor to employees


for timecard and paperwork accountability, resulting in paperwork training and
employee mailboxes.

• Discovered 13 month, 43,000 error in customer order

• Discovered multi – state error creating 5 days of “no orders”.


BANNER HEALTH SYSTEMS – Orthopedic / Patient Care / Darkroom Technician

Provided direct patient care for surgical and orthopedic patients. Applied various
traction’s, casts and removal of casts. Responsible for medical procedures including
EKG, phlebotomy, urethral catheters, colostomy, dressing changes, and CPM machines,
as well as ordering, maintaining orthopedic supply and inventory.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS -
• Banner Health Customer Service Program, Customer Service Representative for
Diagnostic Imaging, Unit based Council / 3 year staff contact for improvements,
problem solving, and communications.

• Banner Administrative Committee – Goal, to save $300,000.00 within 3 months by


redesigning hospital job descriptions and improving workflow in all areas, while
maintaining excellence in patient care.

• Spokes person for 72 employees, successfully retaining their employment.

• Designed and presented staff retention program to Administration, worked with


innovations for a $30,000 Presidents Grant. $600,000.00 loss annually due to staff
leaving and rehiring of employees.
