Afteranorientationandtrainingperiod,associatesareassignedtotheirfirstcase,reportingdirectlytothe
projectleader.Projectleadersencourageassociatestobecreativeintheiranalyticalworkandtheir
interactionswithclients.AssociatesworkcloselywithBCGteamsandtheclientorganizationastheyconduct
interviews,analyzedata,communicatefindings,anddrivechange.Rightfromthestart,associatestakeon

Asassociatesgainexperience,theyworkmoreindependently,takingontheirownpiecesofaproject.They

candidatesshouldhaveanintellectualcuriosityaboutconsultingandbusinessingeneral.Duringthesummer
program,theinternwouldbepartofaBCGconsultingteamwithguidancefromaconsultantsponsor.The
summerwouldincludeexperienceswiththeirclientcase,othersummerinterns,fulltimeassociates,andany
BCGevents.OurgoalistogiveoursummerinternsadequateexposuretotheassociatepositionandtheBCG
culturewiththehopesthatstrongperforminginternswouldbeinterestedinreturningtoBCGasanassociate
aftergraduation.
