NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Claremont will conduct a
public hearing to consider the sale of a City-owned parcel approximately 200 square feet in
size located directly behind the existing building at 119 N. Yale Avenue, and an associated
lot line adjustment (File: #12-LL03).
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Claremont
City Council Chamber, 207 Harvard Avenue. All interested persons are invited to attend
and provide comments.
The sale of the property is categorically exempt from any further review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15312 of State and local CEQA
Guidelines. This class 12 exemption allows for sale of surplus government property that
has no statewide, regional, or areawide concern. This property is exempt surplus land of only
200 square feet. Additionally, the sale of the property is exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) because it can be seen with certainty that the mere transfer of title to the
property from the City to the applicant will not have a significant effect on the environment.
The sale of the property will not result in the approval of any new development project or
make any changes to the Citys adopted Land Use Plan. Lot line adjustment requests are
