Dear Brother Andrade:

I hope this letter finds you in the best of health, and, also in happiness, despite of your
circumstances; and, if nothing else, peace, which, believe it or not, is attainable. As of
yet, I have little experience directing others to peace; however, the apostles had
much, being tasked with keeping spirits high and they built the church. Peace, they
say, comes from God, and only by thinking righteous thoughts, and righteous conduct
and works:
whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is
lovely, whatever is admirableif anything is excellent or praiseworthythink about such
things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in meput it
into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Phillipians 4:8-9
In sum, think only of the best things; and, look for every opportunity to actively
demonstrate love in a brotherly way. Going further, you may consider finding ways to
do that effectively, instead of merely expressing the sentiment. Based on my initial
impressions of you, I sense you will be successful in this regard; you are sincere, and
readily express a willingness to meet others needs. You are also able and unafraid to
articulate your own needs, which adds a most welcome authenticity to the persona
you project as your own; you should have no problem bonding with persons of
quality.
Unfortunately, I was unable to reach any of the three persons you asked me to contact
on your behalf; no one answered at any of the numbers you provided. The voicemail

boxes for both your stepmother and brother are full; the one for your mother is not set
up yet. There were no responses to my text messages, either.
As I stated in my first letterand reiterated in every letter sinceI will do whatever it
takes to connect you to the things andby inference, peoplethat matter (and, family
matters, as you well know). I am motivated and guided by the following:
Carry each others burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you
have helped his people and continue to help them.
Hebrews 6:10
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is
pleased.
Hebrews 13:16
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
John 15:12
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and
running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you.
Luke 6:38
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow
from you.
Matthew 5:42
Freely you have received; freely give.
| Matthew 10:8
not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Philippians 2:4
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.
Proverbs 3:27

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they
have done.
Proverbs 19:17
Share with the Lords people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Romans 12:13
We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or
sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen,
cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
1 John 4:19-20
Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never
fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there
your heart will be also.
Luke 12:33-34
They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or
needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? He will reply, Truly I tell
you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.
Matthew 25:44-45

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no
deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and
daily food. If one of you says to them, Go in peace; keep warm and well fed, but does
nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it
is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James 2:14-17
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me
something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you
clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit
me. Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed
you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and
invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison
and go to visit you? The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of
the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
Matthew 25:35-40
To that end, I opened an account with GTL, and am willing and now able to set up a
three-way call between you and your family members. Although, at present, it would
appear to be unavailing, please call me, regardless, to discuss an alternative means of

contacting your family members in order to establish contact with them, and to obtain
pictures of your son, as well.
Please also forward all pertinent information about making payments to your
restitution as a third-party at your earliest convenience.
Finally, before you pray, remember this:
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the
heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17
Yours in Christ,

James Alan Bush
