MARCADORES BIOQUMICOS
Se han estudiado una gran nmero de marcadores bioqumicos para la
prediccin de preeclampsia. Muchos de estos representan manifestaciones de
placentacin inadecuada y del estado de hipoxia. A continuacin se detallan los
ms estudiados5.
SEng estn aumentados, mientras que los de VEGF y PIGF estn disminuidos
en gestantes que posteriormente desarrollarn PE. Adems sus niveles se
relacionan con el momento de aparicin de las manifestaciones y su severidad,
especialmente en la preeclampsia en < 34 semanas. As mismo tambin est
en estudio los niveles de dichos marcadores en orina como posible cribado de
PE, con resultados por el momento poco aplicables. Actualmente su uso como
marcadores individuales de PE tienen un valor predictivo bajo, sin embargo se
abre un campo de investigacin futura muy prometedor.
2. Molculas de adhesin endotelial. Selectina P es una molcula de
la familia de las selectinas expresada en plaquetas y clulas endoteliales,
implicada en las interacciones leucocito-endotelio. La PE se asocia al
incremento de citoquinas, dao endometrial y activacin plaquetaria, por lo que
parece que el incremento de expresin de la selectina P juega un papel
as
como
caractersticas
maternas
(mdicas
obsttricas),
combinaciones
no
producen
beneficios
adicionales,
