LowPassandHighPassFilters
Inthisexperiment,wearecatchingaglimpseoftwoverysimpledesignsoffilters.Thefirstoneisalow
passandthesecondoneisahighpassfilter.Alowpassfilterisafiltertheletsthelowerrangeof
frequenciestopassandblockstheupperendofthefrequencyrange.Ontheotherhand,ahightpass
filterletstheupperrangeoffrequenciestopassandstopsthelowerrange.
Bothofthesefiltersareconsistedofonlytwocomponents:aresistorandacapacitor.Firstyouareto
assemblethelowpassfilteronabreadboardasshowninthefollowingfigure(Figure1):
