The Operator Navigator


Used for viewing the progress and outcome of executed sessions
Can be used to view already executed interfaces and packages, or you can use
the Operator to initiate them

Operator Panels
Multiple panels for viewing session executions in particular ways
Set up and view schedules
Import and run scenarios
(compiled packages) and
solutions (versioned scenarios)

Viewing a Session
Within any of the Operator panels, expand the details of a particular session
All of the tasks, plus the status (outcome) of the task are then shown

Viewing Sessions by Category


Sessions can be viewed under different category
User - Sessions executed by a particular user
Physical Agent - Sessions executed on a particular agent
Date - Sessions executed during a particular period
Status - Sessions ending with a status of Success , Failed , etc
Keywords - Named sessions

Viewing Session Task Details


Knowledge Modules perform different tasks
Each task usually equates to a database action, an agent action etc
Double-click on the task to see an overview of the task outcome
Click on the Code tab to see the executed code

Viewing Hierarchical Sessions


A session can execute one or more child session called Steps
Hierarchical Sessions organizes Child Sessions in order of execution

Restarting Failed Sessions


A failed session can be restarted
Right click the failed session and select Restart
The failed session restarts from the failed step
The failed step can be any ODI Object
Scenario
Package
Interface
Variable
etc.

Simulating Executions
When executing any interface, package or check, you can choose to simulate the
process instead of actually executing it
Allows you to see the generated code for a process, useful for debugging
Tick the Simulate button when requesting execution
View the simulation output on-screen
