Dear Sir,
We are submitting the following names as qualified beneficiaries under the
Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
1. Gintong Adhikain Sa Ating Kaunlaran (GASAK) Farmers Association, Inc.
Basis: The Officers and members of the GASAK are the actual occupants,
tillers and in possession of the subject agricultural land. This fact is known in
Hermosa, Bataan. Only farmers and regular farmers actually tilling the lands, as
certified under oath by the Barangay Agrarian Reform Council (BARC) and
attested under oath by the landowners, can be considered as qualified
beneficiaries.
Under Section 22. Chapter VII RA 6657 (CARP law) states that:
SECTION 22. Qualified Beneficiaries. - The lands
covered by the CARP shall be distributed as much as possible
to landless residents of the same barangay, or in the
absence thereof, landless residents of the same municipality
in the following order of priority: (a) agricultural lessees and
share tenants; (b) regular farmworkers; (c) seasonal
farmworkers; (d) other farmworkers; (e) actual tillers or
occupants of public lands; (f) collectives or
cooperatives of the above beneficiaries; and (g)
others directly working on the land xxx
