Have you ever looked a child and wondered, What on earth is going through that kids head?
this class is for you. Together, we will explore the blossoming of life from before the point of
maximum cuteness (newborn), up until the point of minimum cuteness (Adolescence).
Scientifically, we are investigating the development of human life from the point of
conception, prenatal development, until adolescence, the transition into adulthood. Lets
examine just how far weve all come to get to this point in time.unless of course youre one
of those genius kids you see on T.Vin which case, lets explore child development.

Grading Policy
Grades will be based on the following criteria:

Exams/Quizzes:75%

Research Paper:15%

Participation:10%

Quizzes will be posted on blackboard and will be due each Tuesday at 11:59 PM
Late Work will only be accepted if you have previously discussed it with me, otherwise you will lose 10 points a DAY.

Eating and drinking will be contingent upon the classroom.

DUE DECEMBER 1ST

Find a peer reviewed article pertaining to the subject of Lifespan Development.


Read the article.
Summarize the article in your own words.

Write a brief summary (1-2 Pages) about

The purpose of the research (hypothesis)

The theoretical foundations used for the article

Independent and dependent variables.

The participants used (where, how many, and of what social group/gender)

How the data was collected

What kind of research design was used

Ie: Correlation or experiment, longitudinal or cross-sectional

What the results were

Analyze the article. (2-3 Pages)

The analysis should include:

Include some references to your textbook

A critique of the article.

How you feel the authors could have made the study better.
