1. Prepares reports on the status of cases

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Assists the Chief Legal Officer in directing and coordinating the work of the legal staff of the Department of Education
2. Drafts agreements or contracts, and administrative orders, proclamations, opinions, memoranda, decisions or resolutions on administrative cases.
3. Conducts investigation on hearing of administrative cases or infractions of laws, rules and regulations.
4. Reviews the work, ruling, recommendations and decisions of subordinates.
5. Assists in the preparations of educational laws of the Department.
6. Appears in courts or administrative bodies in behalf of the Department of Education.
7. Prepares and submits required reports.
8. Assumes the duties and responsibilities of the chief in his absence
9. Recommends the promotions of deserving employees to the chief of the division.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Acts as legal adviser on legal matters affecting policies, enforcement and administration of the laws, international relations concerning education and culture,
and drafting of agreements or contracts afecting the Department of Education.
2. Prepares opinion on legal aspects of provisions of law, office rules and regulations, and makes rulings on queries affecting legal matters on administrative
functions.
3. Undertakes review of the recommendation, rulings and decisions prepared by his subordinates.
4. Conducts hearings on cases arising from violation of laws, office rules and regulations against officials and personnel of the Department and prepares decisions,
ruling or opinions on these cases.
5. Aids in the preparations of educational laws for the Department of Education
6. Directs the preparations of office orders, circulars or memoranda, etc.
7. Represents the department head before a judicia; or administrative body.
8. Supervise the legal staff in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
9. Assists in advising service chiefs and heads of units on legal and technical matters on policies and procedures.
10. Assists the Solicitor-General in handling complex legal or highly technical matters.
11. Prepares and submits required reports
