• Jasmiza Solutions Sdn Bhd is a consultation

Cervical Cancer
WHAT IS CERVICAL CANCER?

Developed in the cervix: the low,


narrow neck of the uterus that opens
in the vagina 2

Primarily caused by a virus called the


Cervical cancer ,24-year old woman (HPV 16 positive)1
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) which is
transmitted through sexual activity 3

Cervical cancer is PREVENTABLE


through vaccination and regular pap
smear tests

HPV 16 & 18: 11 The two most common


cancer-causing virus types account for
MORE THAN 70% of all cervical cancer

HPV Evasion

The HPV virus does not cause cell death, which means
that the immune system is not alerted5.6

In the cell, the HPV virus hides while multiplying4-6

HPV infection occurs locally at the cervix therefore


no presence of the virus in the bloodstream is detected4-6
