Ensurethatyouhaveatleastcreatedalltablesrequiredfortheactivation,asdescribedinCreateDatabase

DownloadingandDeployingContentPackages
Recommendation
SAPrecommendsusingSAPSolutionManagertoinstallandupdateSAPHANALiveproductsand
MaintenanceTransactions.Thisallowsyoutodeployseveralproductversionsatonce.
Alternatively,youcandownloadtherequiredzipfilesdirectlyfromSAPServiceMarketplaceanddeploythem
manually.Thismeansonlysingleproductversionscanbedeployed.

Note
YourSAPHANAdatabasehastoberegisteredintheSystemLandscapeDirectory(SLD).
Inaddition,yourSAPHANAdatabasemustbecreatedasaproductsystemintheLandscapeManagement
Database.YoudothisinSAPSolutionManagerusingtransactionlmdb.Thisisnecessaryforthesteps
describedunderSAPSolutionManagerbelow.

1.InSAPSolutionManager,runtransactionlmdb.Onthe ProductSystems tab,selectyour
productsystemandchoose Display .
2.Inthenavigationtree,clickonthetopnode (ProductSystem) .
3.Onthe MaintenanceTransactions tab,under MaintenanceOptimizerTransactions ,choose
CreateTransaction .
4.Under ChooseFileSelectionMode choose CalculateFilesAutomatically andthenchoose
Continue .
5.Onthe Operations tab,under ChangeOptions ,selectchangeoption SupportPackageStacks
ImplementationofSupportPackages andchoose Continue .

requiredproductversiononwhichtheproductyouwanttoinstallisbased.

versiontobelisted,youmustfirsthaveselectedSAPHANAANALYTICSFORERP1.0.
Tofindouttherequiredproductversionofyourproduct,seeInstallationInformationforVirtualData
Models.
Ifyouproducthasseveralinstances,youmustselecttheinstancesyouwanttoinstallmanually.
Whenyourinstanceisselected,choose Apply .
9.Followthisprocedureforallproductsyouwanttoinstall.Whenyouaredone,choose Continue .
10.Under SelectOS/DBDependentFiles ,expandtheinstancenodeunder FileName .Select SAP
HANAdatabase andchoose Continue .
11.Under SelectFilesforAddonProducts ,choose Continue .
12.Under SelectStackDependentFiles ,under FileName ,newdatabasepatchesarepreselected
bydefault.Ifyoudonotwanttoinstallthesepatches,deselectthem.YoumustnotdeselectOS
DBifyouareupgradingyourSAPHANAdatabsetoHANASPS08.Choose Continue .
13.Confirmthedownloadbasketbychoosing Continue .
14.Onthe StackFiles tab,downloadthe SystemSpecificXMLforSLM .Saveandclosethe
MaintenanceOptimizerwindows.ThendownloadthecalculatedfilesusingSAPDownloadManager
fromSAPServiceMarketplace.MakethedownloadedfilesandXMLfilesavailableonyourSAP
HANAappliance.
15.AstheSYSTEMuserintheSAPHANAstudio,rightclickontheservernodeinthenavigationpane,
andselect LifecycleManagement .
16.Select ApplySupportPackageStack under UpdateSAPHANASystem .
17.Choose Manuallydownloadedcontent ,thenbrowsetofindthecontentyoudownloadedinstep5
andruntheinstallationandupdateprocedure.
