Course Objectives and Outcomes:
First Part Objectives:
Students would be able to
Analyze force system by resolving into rectangular and oblique
components
To replace force by force and couple system acting on engineering systems
and mechanisms in 2D & 3D
Second Part Objectives:
Students would be able to
To analyze complex engineering structures and mechanisms in equilibrium
by using free body diagram
Develop acquaintance with the positive & negative effects of friction force
Type of frictions
Apply techniques and approach to analyzing rectilinear and curvilinear
motion by using Cartesian, tangential and polar coordinates
Ultimate Objectives:
After completing this course the engineering students must have developed the
exposure to visualizes the effect of forces in designing and launching different
systems e.g. missiles, satellites and stability of structures
