SLAM AND POLTCS.

BSMLLAAH RAHMANR RAHEEM.

Selam Aleykum Rahmatullah Wabarikaatu. Rabbi yesir, valla
teassir. Rabbi tahmim bil hayr. Before I proceed I want to share
some verse of Suratul Kahf, the Surah that we read every friday
before Jummah prayers. All praise be to Allah (S.W.T) who has
revealed unto us, the Prophet (S.A.W), His servant, a Book
( Quran ) and He has left no crookedness in it.
Alhamdulillah for all being Muslims. My prayer is that; Allah
grant us healthy life and strong iman. May He grant us
blindness from looking to haram, deaf from hearing haram,
dumb from speaking haram and disable from walking towards
haram.
Every setback is a setup for a comeback. Although we the
Ummah, all over the world in one way or the other, been
oppressed by other religious group. We should not worry and
always keep faith in Allah, that one day all will be over, n Sha
Allah.
Our topic for today's program is slam and Politics. We all agree
that our Prophet Muhammed( S.A.W)s is the Leader of the
Ummah? As a muslims one of our duty is to practice His way of
life, thus, the Sunnah. On the day of ressurrection everything
will be well organized by Allah. There will be no rush, bribe for
one's early judgement or whatsoever. Where there are two or
more peoples there must be a leader. s only an illiterate who
will say Muslims should not participate in world politics. Now

let us make some observation.

Assuming there is a muslim in your area, who has complete the
Quran, a hafis, can read and explain all the Tafsir, The stories of
the Sahabas, Sunnahs of our Prophet (S.A.W), after all these he
sit quietly in his room without teaching others. What will be the
benefits of his studies?
My question is, What is politics? s it all about negatives stuffs?
Stealing, bribery, lies , injustice, immoral? f our answer is yes,
then we are all victims of these allegations. What have we done
about it? One can boldly say Politics is the field of Shatan. I
agree with that.
My question is, f an mam in your community always tells lies,
does not take his promises, does it mean that you are going to
stop praying?, NO. During the time of our Prophet Muhammed
(S.A.W), the Arabs were the worse Ummah, ignorance,
inhumaliate, but yet He was from that Ummah. WHY?
To correct the wrong-doers. f we all agree that politics is the
field for Shatan, then it is the best place for a Muslim to enter
and change things round by setting up examples to others.
Without having the courage to enter into it then, How can
things be change?.
Politics is all about managing human behaviours, controlling
weapons and regulating the money in circulation. All the
Prophets sent by Allah build their nations and collapse the bad
ones. Here we see politics as far as NATON is concern. Staying
away from human behaviour, weapons and money then what
are we going to correct in this world as a Muslim? f we all say
Muslims should stay out from politics then there is no need for

an mam, Mufti, an Alim to condenm the drinking of alcohol as

haram. A true Muslim who enters into politics will try and bring
justice in the society. nterest at banks will be no more, haram
will be discouraged and helal will be encourage. I think those of
us who always say Muslims should stay away from politics, are
the ones who want to live contrary to teachings of slam. For
them there shouldnt be haram, or haram should be perceive as
helal.
Muslims staying away from politics is a different topic and
Politics should be done according to Prophet (S.A.W) teachings
is also a different topic. How can politics be done according the
Prophet (S.A.W) teachings without the involvement of
Muslims? I am not saying all mams or Alims should be
politicians in our society. Let me chip in this short story. There
was a man who memorize the whole Quran, From Surahs to
ayahs as well a Hafis I mean. After all these, His Teacher ask
him just to study politics, human relations and international
relations only for one year. This man said no because politics is
the feild of Shaitan. Years past and he went to a villiage. On his
arrival it was Salah time, so he decided to take ablution quickly
to join the cemmah. To his surprise the mam did not even
know how to recite Suratul Fatiha properly. After the Salah he
told the villagers that this mam is leading them to Cehennem.
With a blink of an eye, all his body was full of blood and they
threw him away from the village. He then went back to his
master and studied politics, human relations and international
relations for one year. He went back to the same village, but
this time he told the villagers, the one who will be able to bring
a hair of the mam will enter Jannah. n less than 30 minutes

the mam was bold and in severe pain. Shyness forced this
Imam to move out from the village. Afterwards he was
instooled as the mam of that village and taught them the
Sunnahs of our Prophet (S.A.W).
Upon the emergence of Democracy as the claim to be free from
oppressions, justice, equality and rights of the peoples. Why are
we still observing murders, infringement of human rights,
severe poverty etc. Who can give me, one scientist who was
able to rule a community with justice. Democracy is all about
power and power is always rights.
Just let as analysis Umar (R.A) leadership. When he died, a
sheperd noticed it when a wolf attacked one of his sheeps. He
said indeed we have lost a Greatman of Justice. The campanion
like Abubarka (R.A), a man with the sense of humanity. Where
can we find all this peoples? Only from the Ummah of Prophet
Muhammed (S.A.W). Ofcourse one cannot be like them but
atleast we can learn from them. t is our duty to acquire some
positions in our communities as a Muslims to set examples for
others to follow.
Muslims should stay away from politics are the words use by
the Kafir to suppressed the Ummah. This is one of the reasons
we are observing wars all over the Ummah. nstead of us saying
that Muslims should stay away from politics. We should rather
say, Politics must be done based on the Prophet( S.A.W)
teachings. A Prophet who was able to collapse the bad nation
and build his pious nation. Now His fellowers are advice not to
follow His steps. t is very sad to hear our Alims saying such
words too.

Without a doubt, I can boldly say, our generation is the worse

generation ever in human history. A generation in which a
father is afraid to sit on the same table with his family for
supper or lunch. As they have name it with a very beautiful
name, FAMLY PLANNNG. We invest in killing our children even
before they are born. During our Prophet (S.A.W) time, they
were just killing the she-babies right? But now we are killing
both male and female babies (ABORTON). Even we have went
to the extend of legalizing homosexuality. May Allah forgive us
all. The rich person in the this world does not even know
Sadaka let alone Zakat. Alhamdulillah we are all Muslims, but it
doesnt end there, we must live as Muslims. I think we have a
problem with our man. We dont really understand what is
meant AL-RAZAK.
Again Let me chip in this example. f Muslims acquire positions
in our countries and every year, we are able to implement one
Sunnah of our Prophet (S.A.W) in our constitution. After 40
years we can observe the Leaderships similar to Umar and
Abubarka (R.A).
A nation our Prophet build for only 23 years still exist today.
Even when there was no formal education, political faculties,
powerpoint display, accounting, economics etc, He was able to
teach how to organize and manage a community. Assabi Sufa
were taught how to treat peoples with humanity and justice.
The Ummah were not only to be corrected but to correct others
and live as an example for others as well.
Not alone did He taught us how to pray for the death, also how
to stand in prayers, how to fast, how to use our money, arms

the concept of JHAD. There are over 500 hadiths on

economics. f we all accept politics as the field of Shaitan, then
we need to enter and change things around. Being a Muslims
does not only mean doing Zikr from morning to evening but
also having a positive influence on others. Since we have in
mind that politics and religion are different things all together,
we dont notice the hadiths which talks about politics.
There is one hadith which say's: On the day of Judgement,
there will be seven groups of people, under the shadow of
Allah( S.A). These peoples will not be the Prophets, Alims,
Sheiks etc. The first of these peoples will be maamu- Adiilun,
thus, Leaders who treated peoples with Justice. This shows how
Muslims should stay away from politics, RGHT?. The others
include; those who reject Zina because of the fear of Allah,
those who love eachother beacause of Allah, those who give
arms with the left hand and the right hand does not see, etc.
One of the campanions of Our Prophet (S.A.W) ask ' f we have
a Leader who is injustice, what should we do? ' Prophet (S.A.W)
said; ' We dont need to kill him, because you can never
bringdown a person who sincerely pray to Allah. The only thing
you can do is pray for him and do your work justicely. Our
Prophet (S.A.W), once said, Even if three Muslims are travelling
there must be a Leader.
With all the analyzes, how can one say, I believe in Oneness of
Allah and the Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) as his messenger.
But there are some His words I dont like. Haashaa.
Estafurullah 3x. We as the Ummah, dont only like the Prophet
(S.A.W), but we also believe that He is the last Prophet of Allah.

When one says, he or she likes the Prophet (S.A.W). t literary

implies that there are alternatives and one choose the one he
or she prefer. We belief, and there is no alternative.
You and I all know that one of the sign of Judgement day is
that, Muslims will rule the world. How can we rule the world
without the involvement in world politics?. Ok, let us put it in
this way. We have all agree as the Ummah. We will not involve
ourselves in politics. Then a kafir will lead us. s that what we
want?.
This is the reason why, in most countries, we find a Non-Muslim
organizing Hajj. May Allah forgive us. Even we observe this in
Ghana, Flight arrangement to Hajj. Muslim countries extract
the crude oil, but Americans will determine the price. They will
determined our way of life, political, economic, social and
culture system for us. May Allah grant us understanding.
