3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION:
Irritating to respiratory system and skin. Risk of serious damage to eyes.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES:


INHALATION:

Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
If breathing stops, provide artificial respiration. For breathing difficulties oxygen may be necessary. Keep the affected
person warm and at rest. Get prompt medical attention.

INGESTION:

DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! NEVER MAKE AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON VOMIT OR DRINK FLUIDS!
Immediately rinse mouth and provide fresh air. Contact physician if large quantity has been consumed or if adverse
symptoms develop.

SKIN:

Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing. Remove
contaminated clothing and launder before re-use.

EYES:

Make sure to remove any contact lenses from the eyes before rinsing. Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while
lifting the eye lids. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES:


EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:
Use: Water spray, fog or mist. Foam. Dry chemicals, sand, dolomite etc. Do not use water on asphalt fires in
containers. Explosion may result. Water may be used to cool fire-exposed containers.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES:
Wear full protective clothing and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus in pressure demand mode if exposure is likely.
Keep up-wind to avoid fumes.
UNUSUAL FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARDS:
Dust may form explosive mixture with air. Hot asphalt may ignite flammable materials. High asphalt concentrations
could produce dense smoke if exposed to fire.

Wear protective clothing and equipment. For further information on suitable protective clothing see Section 8,
Exposure Controls and Personal Protection.
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT ENVIRONMENT:
Prevent contamination of soil and water. Prevent from spreading or entering into drains, ditches or rivers by using
sand, earth, or appropriate barriers.
SPILL CLEANUP METHODS:
Sweep, or vacuum up and reclaim or transfer to waste containers as appropriate, avoiding the creation of excess dust.
Wash down residues with copious amounts of water.
