associated with the development of the learned in school independently, and is
able to use the method according to the rules of science.
B. Basic Competencies
1.1 Recognizing the regularity of the particle structure of matter as manifestation of the
glory of God Almighty and the knowledge of the structure of matter particles as a
result of human creative thinking that truth is tentative.
2.1 Demonstrate scientific behavior (having curiosity, discipline, honest, objective, open,
able to distinguish fact and opinion, tenacious, thorough, responsible, critical,
creative, innovative, democratic, communicative) in designing and conducting

bonding, and metallic bonding and its relationship with the physical properties of the
compounds are formed.
4.1 Process and analyze the comparison process of forming an ionic bond, covalent bond,
coordinate covalent bonds, and metallic bonding and interaction between particles
(atoms, ions, molecules) of matter and its relationship with the physical properties of
the material.
C. Indicator
a) Cognitive
1. Describe the arrangement of valence electrons of the noble gas atoms (duplet and
okted) and valence electrons instead of noble gases (Lewis structure).
2. Explaining the process of formation of an covalent bond.
b) Affective
Character: having curiosity, honest, disciplined, responsible, communicative and
cooperation.
c) Psychomotor

ACTIVITIES
A. INTRODUCTION
1. The teacher entered the classroom and greet the student,
"Assalamulaikum kids!"
2. The teacher creates an atmosphere of religious classes to appoint the
head of the class to lead the prayer.
3. Teachers check attendance (teachers instill discipline), the
cleanliness and tidiness of the class as a form of environmental
concern.
4. Teachers deliver learning objectives which will be studied.
5. After preparing lessons, teachers convey to student the purpose
apperception memory guiding student on the material that will be given
at this meeting by asking:
"Do you remember what our learn the last meeting ?
yes, ionic bond.
So do you still remember what is ionic bond? Right, the transfer and
accepter of electrons between the metal and non metal.
Teacher show the pictures.
6. Student are asked to answer the questions and teachers complement
the student' answers.
7. The teacher explains the general description of the material to be
learned to student and motivate student to relate to in everyday life
such as:
Teacher show the pictures and ask to student what the different on the
pictures?

B. CORE ACTIVITIES
1. Observing
1. The teacher divides the student into groups where the group has been
divided before the teacher and gives student a number so that each student
in the group have different numbers, according to the number of student in
the group (each group again consists of 3-5 people).
2. Teacher gives student worksheets containing issues concerning lewis
structure and covalent bonding.
3. The teacher stated that every student should understand and master each
problem discussed in the group for student who will be the presentation will
be drawn at random by the teacher just before the presentation is done.
4. Student understand and learn the worksheets provided by the teacher.
2. Asking
1. Student ask questions of worksheets that have been observed to teachers.
2. The teacher asks questions related to the made lewis structure and form
covalent bond (single, double and triple bond)
3. Experimenting
