How to

Make A Graph
By your absolutely wonderful
science teacher!!!

Setting up your GRAPH

Use Graph Paper for your GRAPH!!!

When you are making a

graph, what paper must
you choose? Why do you
think so?

Think about TAILS

T-----------title
A----------axis
I--------interval
L---------labels
S--------scale

T is for Title
Our Favorite Teacher

You must put a title on your

graph. The title should tell
people what the graph is
about.

Whats an AXIS?
Label the AXIS
Y-to the skY

The Y Axis is whY we

measured!

Whats an AXIS?
Label the AXIS
X-to the LEFT

X is what was fiXed

in our lab or graph.
Fixed= the things we
measure...ex- favorite
teacher.

TAILS
Choose a SCALE that
lets our graph be as
large as possible!
Scale is from the
bottom to the top of
your graph.

T- title
A- axis
ILS-scale

Scale-and were not checking for mass

Our Scale would be 42?
Mr. Roe

Miss Stormes

Mrs. Desautels

Mr. Brennan

Mr. Bitondo

42

Mrs. Bottoni

Miss Sienrukos

The next rounded

number up is usually a
good place to start

Interval
Interval is the space in
between each line.

Well number the

lines not the spaces!

Interval
You might have to do a
little math to find the
interval. The graph to
the right used a interval
of 2. Our graph will use
an interval of 5.

TAILS

T-title
A-axis
I-interval
LS-scale

Label
Label what you did
X- Teachers
Y- Number of votes

A label tells the

reader what they are
looking at...they are
very important.

Look at your votes!!!

Always remember to

T-title
A-axis
I-interval
L-label
S-scale
