COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides construction students an overview of the basic safety practices that will be encountered on a construction site, how site
safety is organized and implemented as well as which areas fall under the umbrella of Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and
OSHAs jurisdiction. Students will gain a basic understanding of how regulations and OSHA safeguards operate to protect both workers and
employers, and how they can benefit personally from a better understanding of OSHA standards.

This course identifies the usage and maintenance of hand machine tools , power tools, power tools and the equipment based on the required
specifications. It is also to ensure that the construction safety are practiced as to avoid the work place hazards and the tasks are carried out as
scheduled.
