Saved by the Blood of the Lamb:

Jn. 1:29b Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Rev. 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals
thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue,
and people, and nation;
God provided a way by which our sins may be erased. Matt. 26:28 says For this is my blood of
the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. The Lord Jesus Christ shed His blood
on the cross so that our guilt of sin is removed. Let us see our sins laid on the Lord Jesus so that they are
no longer ours to bear but His. According to Isa. 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned
every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. The Lord Jesus blood is
the sin offering for atonement. His blood is the only substance that can cleanse us from all sin and
unrighteousness. Eph. 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of his grace; 1 Jn. 1:7b and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from
all sin.
This is important because many people trust in other things to bring about forgiveness of sin.
Many believe that the waters of baptism remove sin. They claim that baptism is a sacrament, or a means
of gaining Gods grace for salvation. Others believe that church membership merits Gods forgiveness.
Many more believe that being a good-hearted or well-intentioned person or perhaps even living a morally
good life is satisfactory to gain favor with God and entrance into Heaven. But the blood of the Lord Jesus
precisely demonstrates that God is just and holy and will punish sin. Rom. 8:32a He that spared not His
own Son If God the Father spared not His own Son, what then will He do with unrepentant sinners?
What then is the only hope of lost sinners? Dear friend, see the blood of the Lord Jesus offered on your
behalf as the perfect sacrifice, the only substance, the healing balm for all our sins. Heb. 10:14 For by
one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. His blood is the one offering which
perfected all who trust in Him. His blood is the basis for salvation not baptism, not church membership,
not good works, not good intentions. Because the Lord Jesus is 100% man, he suffered and bled and died
for our sins, and because He is 100% God, only He satisfies or extinguishes the wrath of God, only Jesus
can forgive sins, and He alone can grant us eternal life.
How then may we partake of His blood? Is it through a sacramental ritual? Is it by a religious
excercize? Perhaps there is money involved? No. The blood of the Lord Jesus is to be received only by
faith. A sinner can learn all about the saving riches of the blood of Christ but all that knowledge, all that
Biblical truth, will do him no good unless the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is applied to his own soul. A
medicine is practically useless until ingested. The blood of Christ is precious but is of none effect without
trusting in person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. How then is the blood of Christ applied to the sinner?
It is applied by faith. When a sinner repents of sin and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, the blood is applied
to him and his sins are removed. Rom. 3:24-25a Being justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (v.25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his
blood,

Observe what the Bible teaches us about the blood of Jesus Christ:
Rom. 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Eph. 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches
of his grace; (see also Col. 1:14).
Eph. 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Col. 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto
himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Heb. 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the
holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb. 9:13-14 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean,
sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: (v.14) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the
eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the
living God?
Heb. 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
1 Pet. 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and
gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; (v.19) But with the precious
blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
You can place your faith on the Lord Jesus Christ today, you can be saved from the penalty of sin
and washed in His precious blood. If today you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior
please email me, I would love to hear about it.
