Lebbe

Fr. Lebbe, a Belgian who loved China, stayed in China when he was 20 years old
until he died. He said I am born for Chinese and will die for Chinese.
Fr. Lebbe, he is a Belgium but he was the one loved Chinese, he stayed in china
when he was 20 years old after, until he was died, he said: I was born for Chinese
and died for Chinese.
During his childhood, he visited a Charitable Institution run by the religious sisters
with his mother. It was during their visit when the sister gave him a pamphlet about
the story of a martyr, Dong Wen Xue of China. He read the pamphlet immediately.
After reading it he fell in love to China. Then, from that moment he dreamed to go
to China and help the Chinese people especially in lifting up their spirits.
In his childhood, he was visited charity congregations sisters with his mother, for he
better staying with his mother, the sisters had gave to him a brochure to him read,
which is the martyr of the history of Dong Wen Xue in china, he had read it
straightly and loved china after he was read. He was decide going to china and help
Chinese people, especially Chinese peoples spirit.

He established four communities: CSJB, CST, and Society of Auxiliary Mission(SAM)

and AFI (ICA) International Community Association.

Catholic Ming Yuan Lay Community Life Handbook

Since Fr. Lebbes spirit continuous and his principle of spirituality life;
Total Sacrifice, True Love and Constant Joy, ascertain in the real and broad
secular life.
Ming Yuan four communities guided by General Superior Fr. Stanislaus Su,
CSJB and General Superior Sr. Raphael Bai, CST invited some lay people to
discussed the establishment of the third order Ming Yuan Lay
Community. Through some deliberations on June 24, 1996 they decided
to start a 3 conferences to draft the Ming Yuan Lay Community rules, to
recruit members and other matters. It was the same date when they
decided to official open the Ming Yuan Lay Community in Taiwan at the
CSJB House. It was officially name as Ming Yuan Corps (M.Y.C.)

Since Fr. Lebbes spirit is unending, also for his principle of spirituality life
are Total Sacrifice, True Love and constant Joy, ascertain on the true life
and broad in the secular life. Ming Yuan 4 communities guided by general
superior of Fr. Stanislaus Su and General Superior of Sister Raphael Bai
had invited few lay people discussed established Ming Yuan Lay

Community, which so called third order. Through few meetings, at June 24,
1996 had opened 3 times preparation meeting. To draft Ming Yuan Lay
Community rules, to recruit members and matters, otherwise, decided at
JUNE 23 1996, IN TAIWAN CSJB House opening Ming Yuan lay community
meeting, that giving name was Ming Yuan Lay Community, and Shortcut is
MING YUAN CORPS (M. Y.C)

MYC LOGO EXPLAIN

In the logo, there is a cross and the words Total, True and Constant that
explains to spread the good news of Christ and fulfilled his spiritual life of
Total Sacrifice, True Love and Constant Joy. The words Ming Yuan was
written in the center of the bee. The bee symbolizes the MYC as a diligent,
enthusiastic worker and highly-spirited faithful servant that warmly serve
the people around us to make them feel happy.
Do not look at my nose, do not look at my eyes, but look into my heart, I
am a true Chinese.
In The logo there is a cross and the words of Total, True and Love
explain that spread good news of Christ and fulfill his spiritual life of Total
Sacrifice, True Love and Constant Joy. The word of MING YUAN has write on
a bee in the center, It means MYC, As a bee diligent work, effort work and
strives spirit, warm with faithful serve for outsiders, let people are feel
happy around us.
Do not see my nose, do not see my eyes, but awareness my pure heart, I
am a true Chinese.

MYC MISSION AND VISION

This MYC is recruit catholic lay believers. According to the secular
lifestyle fulfill and pursue Total Sacrifice, True Love and Constant Joy
of Fr. Lebbes spiritual, committed to spiritual, communion, perfect
life, spread good news, charity work, and walk ahead modern society
by all spirit, to serve churches and society.
The MYC recruits Catholic lay faithful in accordance to his/her
secular lifestyle that will fulfill and pursue Total Sacrifice, True Love
and Constant Joy of Fr. Lebbes charism, committed to a spiritual
communion and perfect life to spread the good news and charitable
works as he/she walks ahead in the modern society with his/her
whole spirit to serve the church and the society.
