-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. Launch Rufus
2. Plug in USB stick
3. Match configuration shown in image

4. Select the USB stick youd like to install the ISO onto, using the dropdown box at the top
5. Click the icon to the right of the ISO Image selection
6. Locate the ISO and double click it

7. Click Start

Thats all for this part. Your USB stick may be used to install the new build as soon as Rufus has
finished.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. Install AOMEI Partition Assistant
2. Launch it
3. Set your preffered language. By default it is in Russian.

4. Right click drive C and then click Split Partition

5. In the bottom box type in: 110.00GB

6. Click the OK button.

7. Click the Apply button
8. When AOMEI has finished splitting, right click the new 110GB partition you just created and click
Format Partition
9. Using the drop down boxes, set the file system to NTFS and the Cluster Size to default.
10. Click the OK button.
11. Click the Apply button

Thats all for this part. The new partition is ready for the insider build to be installed on.
This will not corrupt your current Windows installation if done corrently. Do not worry.
I recommend resetting BIOS settings to default before installing build. Incorrect BIOS settings
can cause major installation problems

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. Launch setup executable
2. Tick the following boxes: Common Tools for Visual C++ 2015, Microsoft Foundation Classes for
C++

3. Finish off the rest of the installation

If youve already installed Visual Studio and didnt click the required boxes needed for
ImmersiveHost to work, you can modify the installation without uninstalling it.
To do this, open the control panel and then click Uninstall a program. Double click on Visual
Studio. Click Modify.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. Youll notice that the forz appx is in parts, with the extensions 001 to 013. Right click the file with
the extention of 001 and click Extract Here. No need to select every part, Winrar will extract
from all of the parts automatically when you choose to extract from the first one. Make sure all
of the archive files are in the same directory when extracting. Forza_14.2.appx will be exracted
from the archives
2. Open explorer and naviate to: C:\
3. Create a new folder named cert
4. Place Mykey.cer into the cert folder
So: C:\cert\MyKey.cer
5. Launch CMD as admin
6. Type: Certutil -addStore TrustedPeople c:\cert\MyKey.cer
7. Click the notification button, which is to the right of your taskbar, and then click All Settings
8. Click Update & security
9. On the left side, click For developers
10. The radio button will be selected for Sideload apps, click the empty circle to the left of
Developer mode Reboot if Windows prompts you to

11. Using the field at the top left, search for: smartscreen
12. Click the top option that appears (Turn SmartScreen Filter on or off for apps)
13. Change the option from On to Off (Only neccesary if you selected On during Windows
installation)

14. Navigate to your ImmersiveHost folder (Directory with multiple files in)

15. Whilst holding shift, right click in the empty space below all of the files and then select Open
command window here
16. Type: Immersivehost.exe -register

17. Run Powershell as admin

18. Type: add-appxpackage <Directory of forza appx>
So, for me: add-appxpackage F:\Games\ForzaHorizon3\ forza_14.2.appx
Make sure none of the folders have spaces in them.
The appx will be installed on the C drive, unless you have changed the default location for appx
installations. I reccomend installing to drive C, installing to other drives
could cause problems(Not always)
This will take around 20 minutes to install.
19. Open another instance of CMD as admin
20. Type: sc.exe create Immersiveelevationservice binPath= "<path_to_the_service_executable>"
So, for me: sc.exe create Immersiveelevationservice binPath= "
C:\Users\Sorrow\Desktop\x86_64\ImmersiveHost\ImmersiveElevationService.exe"
21. Press Windows key+S
22. Type in: Services
23. Right click the best match and then click Run as administrator

24. Find the service that you created in step 20 (Immersiveelevationservice)

25. Right click the service and click Start
26. Right click the service and, this time click Properties
27. Change the startup type from Manual to Automatic (This will tell Windows to start the
service automatically everytime you log in)
28. Place immersivehost.tlb into C:\Windows\System32
29. Open overrides.ini with Notepad(Its in your ImmersiveHost folder)

30. Make sure its like it is below, but with your username in (Replace the xxxx):
[AppX]StateDir=C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.OpusPG_8wekyb3d8bbwe\TempState
ExecutableRoot=C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsApps\Microsoft.OpusPG_1.0.14.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

If your appx is installed onto a drive other than C, change the letter on the second line.
31. Click File and then Save
32. Right click on your ImmersiveHost folder and click Properties
33. Click the Security tab
34. Click the Edit... button
35. For every group and user name, tick all of the boxes under Allow You will need to repeat steps
33 to 36, but with different folders. Tempstate folder at:
C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.OpusPG_8wekyb3d8bbwe\ and
Microsoft.OpusPG_1.0.14.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe folder at: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps.
Make sure you click the Apply button for each folder.
36. Press Windows key + S
37. Type in: Xbox
38. Click on the best match
39. Log in using a dummy account, do not use a personal one which is of a value to you
40. Launch ImmersiveHost.exe, do not run as admin. Just double click.
41. If you get prompted by UAC, just click the Run button

42. You may be asked to log in to Xbox, use the dummy account you used earlier
43. Watch the massively long intro
44. Play!

-------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Borderless Gaming Installation

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Install setup executable (make sure you download binary version from github and not
uncompiled version)
2. Launch Borderless Gaming as admin (Make sure forza is already running before you launch
BG or it will not be detected)
3. Click on Forza Horizon 3 (ImmersiveHost) [ImmersiveHost]

4. Click the arrow pointing to the right. This should force forza into full screen
5. If the above step does not work, click on the third button down
You can return forza back to its bordered state by clicking on the fourth button down

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Windows Defender may be left on, it will not interfere with any of the steps. Other Anti-virus
could though.
-Public release on github is known to crash forza before or after attempting to log into Xbox.
(Release as of 10th Oct 16)
-Selecting DLC vehicles in-game may cause forza to crash.
-If your build of ImmersiveHost isnt a forced full screen version, you may want to install
Borderless Gaming to remove any borders created.
-Use MegaDownloader to bypass MEGA quota limit.
-I will not be responsible if you screw up any of your equipment.
-Make sure you install the latest versions of drivers for your GPU(s).
