Purpose of Sound

Used to tell the story of


our protagonist, Amy. It
signifies her story to the
audience as its as if she
is reading her thoughts
out loud allowing the
audience to sympathise
with this character

This sound will be used


for ambience within the
scenes filmed outdoors.
By using this sound it will
make these scenes
sound less empty and
give the film a sense of
realism

Will be used to show the


argument between Amy
and her mother. This is a
key part in the film as its
where Amy is pushed to
her breaking point and
decides to leave

Will be used to hear the


staggered breathing of
Amy during the bathroom
scene as well build using
a heartbeat to build up
tension within the scene

This is another key part in


the film as its where Amy
makes the decision to kill
herself. The shaking of
the bottle makes the
audience aware of how
frightened she is

After the effects of the


pills begin to kick in this
sound will also be used to
show how she slips in
and out of consciousness
as well as heighten the
intensity of the scene as
she can hear her heart

The sounds that will be used are crucial towards the outcome of our film as it helps
tying it all together. It can also make the film seem more realistic with things such as
ambient sound. When inputting the different sounds it is also important that you
balance the levels to a good standard otherwise the video will fall apart.
