Kotak DFF has completed its 3 years on15th November 2009

And the Journey can be described anything except smooth.

The journey began at a Sensex level of 13469 and had a

smooth ride till the Sensex of 20813

Then came the crash of 2008 and Sensex plummeted to the

levels of 8160 in March 09.

With economic recovery and India beating the recession, the

Sensex recovered to 17000 odd levels.

Such has been the ups and downs of the markets in the 3
years of journey of DFF,

 Snapshot of the Performance of DFF:

• Absolute return of DFF from 15th Nov 06 to 7th Jan 08 (peak of the Sensex) is 33.4%
visa vis Sensex return of 54.5%

• Absolute return of DFF from 7th Jan 08 to 9th March 09 (from a peak of 20813 to a
bottom of 8160) was -2.99% vis a vis Sensex return of -60.79%

• Absolute return of DFF from the peak of 7th Jan 08 to 13th Nov 09 is 17.68% vis a vis
Sensex return of -19.05%

• NAV OF DFF as on 13th Nov. 09 is 15.70 giving an absolute return of 56.96% since
inception (Sensex has generated a return of 25.08%)

• During the same period the CAGR of DFF is 16.23 verses Sensex CAGR of 7.75%.

• In other words, if someone had invested Rs. 1 lakh in DFF on 15th Nov 06, the value
as on 13th Nov 09 would have been Rs. 1,56,969.(And this is after deducting FMC
of 1.75% which has already been adjusted in the NAV)
