Visits Petra Engineering Industries Company
On Wednesday the 21" of January, His Maj esty King Abd ullah II visited Petra Enginee ri ng
Industries Co. Amman facility located in AI-Muwaqqar. During the visit, His Majesty Ki ng
Abdullah was briefed on the latest tethnology and produ(tio rl techniques used by thewmpany
in its plants. His Majesty was introduced to a photo gallery that induded the history and
development of the company over the years and a showcase of its products . The founder of the
company Eng. Osama Husain. who outlined Petra's goals. briefed his Majesty on the companies

future plans and the expansion ofils investments.

His Maj esty then toured the company's facil ities, wh ich included a sheet metal factory, an
automated p<l int line, and a showcase of Petra's large (apaci ty HVAC eq uipment. whkh it exports
totheworld .
His Majesty's visit was a g reat honor for the entire Petra family.

Petra Holds its Annuals Rep Meeting

On the 2St~of January Petra held its annual Rep meeting at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place hotel in
Ch icago, Illinois.
Petra's reps from North, South & Latin America attended the meeting, and its latest representati ves were
introduced to Petra'scu rrent network.

Google Building 40, California - USA

Petra supplied Google with a 60 T.R. (211 kW) Ultra High Efficiency Air Cooled Scroll Chiller for one of its
numerous data centers. Goog le selected Petra due to its product being more efficient than thecompetition.

Petra once again took part in Climate World 2015 Exhibition held in Moscow, Russia from 3 to 6 March
2014, exhibiting some of its latest offerings in the HVAC field .

For the first time, Petra participated in the HARFKO 2015 Exhibition held from 1d until the 13 of March at
the Kintex Center in Seoul, South Korea. The Petra team met with many prospective clients and interested
companies to further its presence in the Asian market.

KAUST Research Center - KSA

KAUST is a pub lic rese<'l,ch un iver5ity located in Thuwat Saudi Arabia. KAUST was founded in 2009 and

focuses exclusively on graduate education and research. It offers programs in biologica l and environmental
sciences and aillypes o f engineering. 11 was announced in 2013 that KAUST had one afthe fastest growing
research and citation records in the world.
Petra was awarded the HVA( <ont'a'! for one of the newest buildings at KAUST, the Research Park Facility.
The project required spedally designed AHU units along with computer room air-conditioning units.

Police Headquarters at Jahra & Farwaniya- Kuwait

Pella recently supplied HVA( equipment to two Pol ice Headquarters in Kuwait both having the exact same
architectural design. The first is located in Farwaniya in Kuwait city while the second is in AI-Jahra City west
of the Capital.
Petra was selected due to the offered models exceeding project spec ifications and the equipment supplied
included four advanced air-cooled water chil lers each providing 290 T.R. (1020 kW), air handling units and
fan coil units.

King Hussein Ca ncer Center - Jordan

I\>tra recently supplied HVAC equipment (chiller$, AHU's, FeU's and computer room units) to the King

Hussein Cancer Center project in Amman.

The contract was signed with MIS (((-Haddadin JointVentureas the main contractor for electromechanical
& finishing works.

The project was designed by HKS Architects from the United Stales and supervised by SIGMA Consulting
Engineers and managed by PROJACS.
The project consists of two towers with a total area 84,000 m2(904.000 frl) The first tower contains outpatient

cli nics and the second tower is the main hospital with 182

~s.

The two towers will be connected to the

existing buildings.

Petra was awarded the project due to its ability to comply with the proje<t design spe<ihcations in supplying
energy saving low noise air cooled water ch illers. hygienic air handling units, fan coil units and computer
room units.
