Lesson Plan in English Grade 7


I. Objectives
At the end of the session, students are
expected to:
1. Identify meaning of words through
synonym clues
2. Appreciate the importance of context
clues

A. Activity
1. Have the students to view a slide
presentation of the different presentation of
the different kinds of graphs.
2. At the end of the presentation, allow the
students to decide what type of graph is used
in the given sets of data.
B. Analysis
1.How does a graph help in presenting data
clearly?
2. What are the ways to create an effective
graphical presentation?
C. Abstraction
Graphs use pictures or symbols to represent
data. It is attractive and easy to understand.

D. Application
Instruct the students to work on Activities 13 on pages 110-111.
E. Closure
A graph is a good way of representing data
in a more interesting and creative way. It
catches the attention of the listener. It will
also help us to organize data for easier
documentation.

antecedent in sentences.
3. Awareness of importance of proper
addressing a person or thing as a sign of
respect.

Topic: Pronoun Antecedent Agreement

A. Activity
1. Present to the class an announcement, p.
115. Let them read the announcement aloud.
Instruct them to fill in the blanks with words
to complete it.
2. Let them identify how the pronouns are
identified.
B. Analysis
1. What do you call the words you use to
complete the announcement?
2.In choosing the word, did you refer to any
other word in the sentence or in a previous
one.
C. Abstraction
Pronouns take the place of nouns in a
sentence. When it refers to a noun

previously stated, it is called referent and the


noun is its antecedent.
D. Application
Present the activity and let them write the
correct pronoun. p, 118.
e. Closure
Pronoun-antecedent agreement is quite easy
actually. But if it does become confusing,
what you can do is picture the sentence in
your mind using the original nouns and
replace those with the appropriate pronouns
that agree with them in number, person, and
gender.

actually. But if it does become confusing,
what you can do is picture the sentence in
your mind using the original nouns and
replace those with the appropriate pronouns
that agree with them in number, person, and
gender.

Materials: Pictures of different child labor

Tell the students that they will be working as


a group. Group the class into 5. Let each
group create a short skit depicting a situation
in the lives of child laborers. To make it
more Interesting, let them put on costumes
and use props. This activity will be
presented on the other day.

the sentences.
