PROGRAM: BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING


PROGRAM VISION, MISSION, GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
Vision
A self-reliant center of development in Oriental Mindoro that provides sustained leadership in instruction,
research and extension to produce globally competitive professionals and appropriate technologies crucial
in helping develop a productive and spiritually and morally upright citizenry, in a diverse yet cohesive
society.
Mission
The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering (BSAEn) course develops a responsive and competent
agricultural engineers who are imbued with the aspiration of helping the farmers and fisher folks to become
more efficient in production and processing of foods, fibers and materials of biological origin for industries
by developing socio-culturally and environment friendly technologies.
Goals
To produce professional agricultural engineers with entry-level competencies in the areas of irrigation and
drainage, soil erosion control, planning of farm structure, agriculture waste management and development
of labour-saving farm equipment and system.
Objectives
1. To train students in the application of engineering principles particularly in the solutions of problems
related to agro-industrial development.
2. To enable students to develop the process and techniques of diagnosing and relating problems in
planning, designing and construction of tools, equipment, implements and machines, management
and agricultural systems and extension.
3. To instill in the students the concern for the preservation and protection of the natural environment.

4. To prepare the students to venture into agricultural engineering enterprise.

Philippine Literature
This course aims to provide means on how students will appreciate and value the literature of the Philippines through
real-life teaching
strategies, hence giving literature convention and shade of novelty. This course is an avenue towards the understanding
that the Philippine
literature is more fun.
