1. LINK LESSON :
(A) To derive indeclinables from pronouns + secondary suffixes. Likewise several
indeclinable words exist underivable.
2. DERIVATION of WORDS (ABDA) with Primary suffixes :
In Sanskrit, Importent Verbs= Dhtus are 500, collected in Dhtupha composed by Pini
in 500 B.C. Dhtu means metal. You can produce thousand of instruments from one metal.
Likewise you can derive thousand of words from a Dhtu of Sanskrit. Verb+Primery
Suffixes. Such as in English : State+ion=station; educate+ion=education. In Sanskrit
xe~ + vu = xeue~ going etc.
(A) Students derive thousand of words in Sanskrit from root+suffixes and deside their
genders and meanings.
(B) These words are called abda or stem as gold found from the mines, raw material, not to
use as an ornament to put around the neck.
3. TADDHITAS : WORD + SUFFIXES :
(A) As in English word education+al suffixe=educational, education+ist=educationist etc.
4. ABDAS ARE CONVERTED into PADA :
(A) In Sanskrit post-positions are used in the place of prepositions (of English) to make
PADA from a abda. These Post positions are called case-endings: Krakas. These Padas
can be used in a sentence as an ornament but not abda.
5. TENSES : PRESENT, PAST FUTURE & MOODS :
(A) Ten conjugations (Avatras), Srvadhtuka and rdha-Dhtuka Kla, Parasmaipadam &
tmanepadam.
