Texas Hold’em Tournament Planned
During 175th Anniversary Celebration
Fans of the popular card game “Texas Hold’em” will be pleased to
know a tournament is planned during Covington’s 175th Anniversary
Celebration. This event will be held Saturday, July 10, at the corner of
High and Wright Sts. Registration will be held at 11 a.m., with play to
start at noon.
Entry fee is $20, with one $10 re-buy. One hundred percent of entry
fees will be paid back to top three: 70-20-10.

Lions Club To Host West Milton July 4th Festival
The West Milton Lions Club once again is hosting the West Milton July 4th Festival. The event will run from
Thursday, July 1, thru Sunday, July 4, with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. The display this year is presented by Rozzi’s
of Cincinnati.
Festival hours of operation will be Thursday, July 1, 6-10 p.m.; Friday, July 2, 6-10 p.m.; Saturday, July 3, noon-
10 p.m.; and Sunday, July 4, 12 noon to 10 p.m.
Funtime Carnival, out of Cincinnati, will provide the amusement rides, games, and food along with local organ-
izations. Anyone interested in obtaining booth space should call Funtime Carnival at 513-484-0811 or 513-484-0812.
Pre-sale tickets are available at Curry’s Video, Fifth Third Bank, Owl Drugs, and Wertz Variety. The price of pre-
sale tickets is $5 for five (one ticket per ride) with the sale ending July 1 at 3 p.m. Cost for tickets at the park will be
$2 each or 10/$18.
Thursday and Friday nights will be armband night with a price of $15. The armband will allow unlimited ride use
on the day it is purchased.
The traditional Lions Club BBQ Chicken Dinner will be held at the Lions Shelter in the park on Sunday, July 4,
following the parade. Cost is $7 for the dinner and $6 for chicken only.
