Pattern Snail Sofie

Material

Used stitches

Approx 20 grams Phildar Coton 3 or Catania

ch = chain

for the body and the antenna.

Sl.st = slip stitch

Approx 20 grams for the cochlea.

sc = single crochet

2,5 mm crochet hook

sc2tog = single crochet two

6 mm black safety eyes

stitches together

Synthetic filling
If necessary felt for the dots

BODY
You start with the head.
Crochet 2ch
1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook
2. 2sc in each sc, repeat (12sc)
3. 1sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (18sc)
4. 2sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (24sc)
5. 3sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (30sc)
6-10. 30sc
11. 8sc, sc2tog, repeat (27sc)
Place the eyes between row 7 and row 8 with 11sc spacing.
12. 7sc, sc2tog, repeat (24sc)
13. 6sc, sc2tog, repeat (21sc)
14. 5sc, sc2tog, repeat (18sc)
15. 4sc, sc2tog, repeat (15sc)
Fill only the head, leave the rest of the body unstuffed!
16-40. 15sc
41. 3sc, sc2tog, repeat (12sc)
42. 12sc
43. 2sc, sc2tog, repeat (9sc)
44. 9sc
45. 1sc, sc2tog, repeat (6sc)
Close the bottom.

COCHLEA
Crochet 2ch
1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook
2. 2sc in each sc, repeat (12sc)
3. 1sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (18sc)
4. 2sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (24sc)
5. 3sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (30sc)
6. 4sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (36sc)
7. 5sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (42sc)
8-11. 42sc
Crochet this section again.
Sew the two pieces together and stuff the cochlea.
The snail doesnt stand by itself, if you want it to stand by it self you need to stuff the cochlea
with granulate aswell.

ANTENNA (MAKE 2)
Crochet 2ch
1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook
2. 1sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (9sc)
3. 1sc, sc2tog, repeat (6sc)
4-5. 6sc
6. 1sc, sc2tog, repeat (4sc)
7-8. 4sc
Sew the antenna on top of the head.
Sew the cochlea on the body.
Sew some dots of felt at the cochlea.
