PB4L From the Beginning


Tier 1
Consultation with staff, students and the community.
Matrix developed.
Referral sheet developed.
Process hasnt happened overnight.
All need to be on board for success.
About changing OUR behaviour not necessarily the students.
The Triangle We want 75-80% of children in the bottom. The next tier are
the orange and they need a little bit of extra paint. The red tier need lots of
layers. On average, 5% of school are in the top tier. These are the children
that need outside services.

Consistency is the key.


Playground and classroom if one staff member lets something go and another
doesnt what happens?
Active supervision and reteaching.

Effective Classroom Management


The goal of effective classroom management is not creating perfect children
but providing the perfect environment using research-based strategies that
guide students towards increasingly responsible and motivated behaviour.
