HERITAGE
INTERPRETATION
CENTER

PROPOSED LOCATION- TOLI-CHOWKI, HYDERABAD

INTRODUCTION:
An interpretation centre can be a viable solution for effective
communication of heritage information in municipalities and rural
areas where resources may not exist to establish a traditional, full
scale museum, and where heritage can be an important factor for
tourism development.
A heritage centre is a museum facility primarily dedicated to the
presentation of historical and cultural information about a place and
its people, including, to some degree, natural features.

PURPOSE BEHIND CHOOSING THE TOPIC:

Heritage buildings constructed during Qutubshahi and Nizam eras
showcase Indo-Islamic architecture influenced by Medieval, Mughal
and European styles. After the 1908 flooding of Musi river, the city
was expanded and civic monuments constructed, particularly during
the rule of Mir Osman Ali Khan (the VIIth Nizam), whose patronage of
architecture led to him being referred to as the maker of modern
Hyderabad. In 2012, the government of India declared Hyderabad the
first Best Heritage city of India
Few of the heredity like the tree near Gloconda Fort called Hathiyan
Jhaad; Premamati Monument; etc. in Hyderabad have lost their
heritage importance. This project will help to revive the importance of
such heredity
Last but not the least reason for selecting this city and the site the
heritgae interpretation center would create the employment
opportunities, entrepreneurs can start their business related to the
ethnicity of Hyderabad. Also, this will create awareness among the
generations to know a little more about their city HYDERABAD
