Verbal Advantage

creed-Reflection of First Semester-Reflecting back on first semester in ERWC,

my creed is that I gained lots of knowledge.

peevish-Reflection of First Semester-Not once did they have a blatant disregard

about someone elses feelings or act peevishly when someone had another opinion.

obstinate-Reflection of First Semester-One of the main things with debating is to

be open minded and try to understand the other persons point of view rather than being
obstinate.

subjugate-Reflection of First Semester-. I have learned how to write a letter of

introduction, learned how to read annotate and analyze nonfiction articles, subjugated
my fear of public speaking, I have even worked better with my time management skills.

saturated-Reflection of First Semester- These past few months my brain has

been saturated with more than just facts, but pragmatic skills which I can use in my
future.

blatant-Reflection of First Semester-Not once did they have a blatant disregard

monotonous-Reflection of First Semester-Though some of the assignments can

be monotonous and recurring, I feel it has been worth it for the most part and I would
choose this class over general English anyday.

impeccable-Into the Wild Journal Reflection-Plus, with all the other assignments

we had, the timing for the Into the Wild Journal couldnt be more impeccable.

aloof-Into the Wild Journal Reflection-There were times when I tried to stay

distant and aloof however due to the fact that discussions occasionally got heated and
and students werent able to listen to others viewpoint.

congenial person as opposed to a morose asshole, you can leave a legacy which no one

adept-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-One of the hardest things I

will have to achieve is becoming adept with time management, my biggest foible.

pliant-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-With my schedule this past

semester being not so pliant, it was an arduous task to read at least 100 pages or 2
hours every week, on top of regular homework assignments, working two jobs, and
family issues.

digress-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-When I did get to read, it

was sporadic, and unfortunately I would find myself digressing and stressing over the
other tasks I had to do.

obligatory-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-This semester I dont feel

as if I did an exemplary job with completing the obligatory reading goals each week.

was sporadic, and unfortunately I would find myself digressing and stressing over the
other tasks I had to do.

concur-Into the Wild Journal Reflection-Both myself and numerous other

classmates can concur that the assignment was tedious, often ambiguous, and really
didnt serve much purpose whatsoever.

advocate-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-I definitely advocate this

new system over SRC.

exemplary-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-This semester I dont

feel as if I did an exemplary job with completing the obligatory reading goals each week.

haggard-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-By the end of the day, I

was haggard and had no motivation to be reading on the side.

verbose-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-Im not sure if this was just

because the books were too verbose or if I just lost interest in them.

arduous-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-With my schedule this past

semester being not so pliant, it was an arduous task to read at least 100 pages or 2

negligible-Semester 1 Independent Reading Reflection-Though I had a hard time

with reading, I found it much easier compared to SRC,which in my opinion, is negligible.

as decorating the journal to our feelings about McCandless wasnt very lucid to me.
