Cdr File Transfer Utility (for CES)

The installation procedure of cdr file transfer utility on IOP and other related info.
Guidelines:
1. If file tx utility is already existing on IOP, then before installing new one, uninstal the
old utility using already existing uninstal utility UNINST-IOP-FT in $AUDITP/.
2. In duplex IOP, always do instal/uninstal/patching on both IOP separately.
3. s/w rel on IOP should be 2219 (L2.9).
4. Copy all the files in CARTRIDGE from following path :
/capri_1/mitali/cdr/192/2.9_iop/
Procedure for installation of cdr Tx related executables for IOP :
1. Go to the directory "/u" in IOP, then create a directory "instal", using following
commands : cd /u mkdir install so that we can get a new directory "/u/instal".
All the files in the Helpline Portal have to copy into the new directory "/u/instal/".
2. For installing CDR FILE TRANSFER UTILITIES in IOP, perform the following
steps :
a. If IOP is not in WARM-START level, bring the IOP into WARM-START
level using CRP command
"INIT-IOP:2,1;"
b. login from root a/c
c. If cdr file transfer util is already existing on IOP, then uninstall the old one as
following :
cd $AUDITP
./UNINST-IOP-FT
Wait until the following successful un-installation msg comes :"Uninstallation
Complete"
"Removing the utility $AUDITP/UNINST-IOP-FT..........."
d. Go to /u/instal/ , Change the permissiom of INST-IOP-FT as following :
chmod +x INST-IOP-FT
Run INST-IOP-FT as :
./INST-IOP-FT
e. Wait until the following successful installation msg comes :"Installation Complete".

f. Bring the IOP into INS level.

3. Put all subscribers & TGPs under detail-billing observation so that ncbr/tgbr files
formed using the following commands :
a. for Subs : mod-sub-char
b. for TGP : add-tgp-blg
4. Start load from INSERVICE ACTIVE IOP for dumping record in NCBR & TGCBR.
5. After all the above acitivities, "/u/instal/" directory should be removed using following
commands
cd /u
rm -rf instal

Procedure for un-installation/patching of cdr Tx utility in IOP :

1. For un-installing CDR FILE TRANSFER UTILITIES in IOP, perform the
following steps :
a. Bring the IOP into WARM-START level using CRP command
"INIT-IOP:2,1;"
b. login from root a/c
c. Go to $AUDITP
Run UNINST-IOP-FT as following :
UNINST-IOP-FT
d. Wait until the following successful un-installation msg comes :"Uninstallation
Complete"
"Removing the utility $AUDITP/UNINST-IOP-FT..........."
e. After that bring the IOP to INSERVICE LEVEL.
2. For patching, go to /u directory and create a new directory
"cdr_pch".
Copy the new patch in "/u/cdr_pch/" directory from CARTRIDGE .
This /u/cdr_pch/ directory should contain only the new patch.
a. Bring the IOP into WARM-START level using CRP command
"INIT-IOP:2,1;"
b. login from root a/c
c. Insert the CARTRIDGE on IOP terminal

d. Go to $AUDITP
Run INST-IOP-PCH
e. Wait until the following successful patching msg comes :
"Patch Installation Complete".
f. After that bring the IOP to INSERVICE LEVEL.
g. Remove the directory "/u/cdr_pch/"
