Writeshop on Instructional Materials

for Extension
Proponent : College of Agriculture
Participants : Fifteen (15) faculty members (four from each college
representing faculty involved in extension and one IT)
ESTIMATED BUDGET
RATIONALE
Modules are called self-learning kits. They serve as complete
instructional materials for both the educator-facilitator and the partnerclienteles. These should be made available particularly to trainers in similar
disciplines/fields.
The Cagayan State University at Piat campus offer several extension
services and conduct various training activities implemented by the different
colleges. Modules should be made available anytime for use by the faculty
especially when the faculty assigned in the different topics are fully loaded
that they need other faculty as backstop support particularly those from the
those having allied courses.
Piat campus has four colleges. Each of them should have complete files
of training modules in their files ready for use and constantly updated to fit
whatever changes are made to address demands from the extension service
areas.
The writeshop is an initiative to put together all training modules used
in extension not only as documentary files that can serve several purposes
but references made available for faculty as well as students and also the
community.

OBJECTIVES
Generally, the training writeshop aims to help faculty in extension
organize their training materials for documentary purposes and availability
for faculty and students including the community.
Specifically it aims to:
1. Train faculty on the preparation of training modules;
2. Organize training content for various training courses in the
different colleges of the campus;
3. Update training modules of faculty involved in extension and
4. Consult experts on training modules .
5. Prepare documentary files.
Expected Output
The output for this activity are the different training modules for
various courses used in extension in each of the colleges of the campus.
Participants
The training participants will compose of at least 4 facultyin each of
the colleges particularly faculty members as facilitators during training and
one IT expert to document the activities.
Resource Persons
The training writeshop will be facilitated by communication experts
from the campus.
