Brothers and sisters, whether you eat or drink, or

whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. 1
Corinthians 10:31
Do a quick check of your priorities. Where does God rank
in that list? If Hes not first, you have some work to do.
Putting God first in everything helps develop the attitude
of I am grateful for the gifts God gave me instead of I
want more. For most people gratitude leads to
generosity.

OFFICE CLOSURE NOTICE

The Parish Office will be closed Monday, February 16th for

the Family Day weekend. We will reopen on Tuesday,
February 17th at 9:00am. Have a wonderful day with your
families.

ARE YOU ABLE TO PRAY?

Do you sometimes think that praying is too difficult? Or
maybe you want to pray but somehow it feels like you
are not connecting with God? In a few weeks, we shall
be moving into the season of Lent, and what better time
to make a fresh start with our prayer? Sr. Cecilia FCJ will
be coming to St. Albert the Great to speak about a Week
of Guided Prayer (February 22nd 28th). Stay tuned for
more information.

REMINDER

Remember to eat less and not to eat meat on ASH

WEDNESDAY, February 18th, as this is a day of Fast &
Abstinence

Catholics celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation

because we recognize that sometimes we fail to do as we
ought and because we believe in Gods mercy and
forgiveness. Has it been a while since you received the
sacrament of Reconciliation? Are you unsure of what to
do? Maybe you are embarrassed, afraid, or ashamed?
Know that the sacrament is completely confidential and
the decision to come is cause for rejoicing. The priest can
help you begin and you can trust the Holy Spirit to take
over from there. Even if you dont know how you can
change your life, showing up makes you open to the
grace that the sacrament brings. The diocese of Calgary
invites you to re-discover the meaning of the sacrament
of Reconciliation in your life.
Action: If you are afraid to go to Reconciliation, speak
about your reservations with a priest or someone you
know who does participate in the sacrament.

ADORATION and RECONCILIATION

Evert Wednesday during Lent following the 7:00pm
Mass there will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
and Reconciliation.

AND

FRIDAY EVENING MASS and STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Every Friday evening 7:00pm Mass followed by
Stations of the Cross. Come journey with us through
Lent, starting February 20th as we commemorate
Christs last day and walk the Stations of the Cross in
union with Him.
