Microsoft
Microsoft is a Corporation company that makes
computer software and video games for users around the world.
Bill Gates and Paul Allen started the company in 1975.
Microsoft makes many different products such as Windows,
Microsoft Office, Edge, MSN and the Xbox One, and many
more.
Most Microsoft programs cannot be downloaded for free
as people have to buy them in a shop or online. Some products
like the Windows operating system are often already installed
when people buy a new computer. They are well known for their
operating systems. Microsoft is Apple competitor and has a
share investment in Apple company. Microsoft is one of the top
best computer company.

Microsoft Windows
Windows is one of the popular operating system software for
computers. Windows is made by Microsoft company. Windows is a
OS which means operating sytems. most devices have Windows.
The newest version is Windows 10 which came out July 29, 2015.
Newly bought microsoft product have windows 8 or 10.
Some computers have older versions of Windows. In
November 20, 1985 the first version Microsoft Windows version 1.0
went on sale. Windows makes it easier to run programs application
than DOS did. It also helps people keep their files safe and in order.
Some programs are included with Windows. For examples,
WordPad, Photo viewer ,Paint ,Internet Explorer web browser,
download files,Windows Media Player and many more. Many
application programs are available that use Windows. Some popular
applications are games, word processors or add-on programs.
Applications can be bought on a CD, DVD, or internet.

Windows 1.0

Microsoft released a system called Windows. it describes the


boxes of GUI interface. They added a mouse to point and click tools
around the screen instead of typing commands in MS-DO. Windows
has Drop-Down menus, scroll bars, icons and dialog boxes that
make the programs more user friendly and many more. it allows you
to switch to different programs without having to close and restart
the program. Had file management applications such as Paint,
Windows Writer, Notepad, Calculator, and a Calendar, card file,
clock to help manage day to day activities and many more

The Start menu evolves-The full screen start screen of windows 8 is


back to being a start menu in window 10 that tries to combine the best of
both options. you get a scrolling start menu that restricted to a single
column with jump list and flyout menus for extra option, divided into
frequently used and recently installed programs with option to switch to a
scrolling view of all your application sorted alphabetically. Task
switcher-Most Windows users don't know the Alt-Tab keyboard
combination to see and switch between all running apps, so as well as
having a redesigned task switcher with bigger thumbnails, Windows 10 also
puts a task view icon in the taskbar to help them find it. Windows 10
introduces a new element which is a vices control. its more controversial
and approachable than before. For example, Apple Siri. Her name is
Cortana the first digital assistant from microsoft from the game Helo. It
upgraded window interface, focusing on the iconic start menu and building
an intuitive experience from there

remained the same
Icons is one of the features that
Mouse Pointer

The mouse pointer is one of the feature


that have remained the same. From the
beginning of windows 1.0 to the newest
windows 10 there is alway a mouse
pointer that allow the user to point and
click of the different folders, application,
programs, etc. It has always stayed the
same and became a symbolic. For
example, on your right it been know and
still used as a pointer for windows

Icons

have remained the same. From the


beginning of windows 1.0 to the
newest the icons allow the user to
understand and identify the types
of programs. It allow the user to
visually to view each programs
and each icons represents a
different type of programs. For
example, the printer icon, folder,
paint, calculator, save, etc

Lay Out
The lay out is one of the feature that have
remained the same. From the beginning of
window 1.0 to the newest the Layout has been
the same. the bar would be at the bottom and
the icons would be placed on the left side of
the screen. It would have it basic of the start
menu and different programs such as internet,
clock, folder, etc. Also the shape has stayed the
same of square and no other shapes. For
example when you open a program its square.

In contrast what are three feature or design elements that have changed

Windows Games
The feature that have changed is the
internet Browser. In window 1.0 to 3.1
they didn't have the internet explorer.
After that the induction of the internet
came and was called internet explorer it
allow the user to connect to the web and
allow to communicate and access
information online and do other things
then changed to microsoft edge. Now
the internet has become global and part
of our lives

The feature that have changed is that


now you have more freedom than
before. You have more abilities to
edit your OS and make it feel yours
and personal design with your likes
and needs. For example how you
can add to your bar, change the
background, edit the layout of your
screen, add password/picture, add or
take away programs from screen and
many more.

The feature that have changed is that the


Window Game. The graphics have been
improved and the gameplay has been
improved. Also more games were added
such as chess, pinball, solitaire/spider,
and many more. The icons were
changed and has more options in each
games. For example, minesweeper use
to been a simple 9x9 game now you can
edit the back grought, make it harder,
add more layers, and many more
