2 Viewing Reports
This chapter describes the ATG Customer Intelligence reports which are provided with ATG Commerce. It
includes the following sections:
Accessing Reports
Running Reports
For information on the ATG data warehouse and metadata model, see the ATG Customer Intelligence Data

2 - Viewing Reports
This guide uses the folder organization shown to describe report locations.
Running Reports
To run and view a report:
1.
In the reports list, click the blue triangle next to the report that you want to run and
view.
2.
Enter the appropriate prompt information. Most Commerce reports can be run either
for a user-specified range of dates or for one of the following time periods:
Today
Yesterday
WTD Week to Date
Last 14 Days
MTD Month to Date
QTD Quarter to Date
YTD Year to Date
PWTD Prior Week to Date
Prior 14 Days
PMTD Prior Month to Date
PQTD Prior Quarter to Date
PYTD Prior Year to Date
PYE Prior Year End
All
The All period includes all data. Prior Year End includes all data for the previous year.
The Prior X to Date time periods run for the equivalent of the To Date reports, but
shifted back to the equivalent prior period. Thus, if the week to date consists of
Monday through Wednesday, the prior week to date is the Monday through
Wednesday of the previous week, as shown in the following example:
4
2 - Viewing Reports
Notice that to date does not include the current day. A report using Prior Week to
Date includes data starting at 12 a.m. on Monday and ending at 11:59 p.m. the day
before the report is run.
Note: If you select Today as a time period for a report, but data for the day has not yet
been loaded in the data warehouse, the report will be empty.
See the ATG Commerce Programming Guide for information on scheduling data
loading.
3.
If you choose Select a delivery method, you are given two choices Save as Report View,
or E-mail Report.
If you choose Save as Report View, specify a name and location for the report view in
the dialog that appears, and click OK.
If you choose E-mail Report, specify the recipients and message text, whether a link to
the report should be included or the report should be attached to the email, and click
OK.
To return to the Reports menu, click the Return button (
Reporting Center.
For more details about viewing and working with reports, see the ATG Reporting Center User Guide.

Dashboard Reports
Dashboard reports present at-a-glance overviews. They usually aggregate other reports, which can also
be viewed individually in most cases. To access these dashboard reports, in the Reporting Center, go to
ATG /Commerce.
The reports that make up these dashboard reports are located in ATG/Dashboard Reports/Commerce.
Note: For space reasons, some report names are shortened when they appear in the dashboard. When
this is done, the standard name of the report appears in parentheses after the dashboard name. Also,
dashboard reports often use default date ranges, which may differ from any default used in the standard
version of the report.
Marketer Dashboard
The Marketer Dashboard report presents a summary view of the following reports:

4 Promotion Reports
This chapter describes Commerce reports that are focused on measuring performance for promotional
efforts. By default, these reports are located in the \ATG\Commerce\Promotions folder in the Reporting
Center. If the report is used in a dashboard report, it may instead be found in \ATG\Dashboard
Reports\Commerce\Promotions.
In ATG Commerce the term promotion refers to an offer of discounted products or shipping, such as $10
off shipping on all orders over $100. Promotions can apply to orders containing specific sets of products,
containing products from specific categories, or meeting specific price thresholds, and may offer
discounts on specific items, on shipping charges, or on the order as a whole. Promotions are granted
based on user activity and applied at the time a qualifying purchase is made.
ATG Commerce tracks the promotions that apply to each order, the specific line items that are discounted
by each promotion, and the discount amount for each line-item and for the order as a whole.
Customers can use globally-available promotions as well as promotions granted specifically to them
based on customer segment, online behavior, or other business rules. Granting a user the right to use a
promotion and actually applying that promotion to an order are separate events in ATG Commerce, and
can occur in different sessions.

Store Overview
This is a high level, comprehensive report that compares measures such as net sales, total orders, etc. for a
number of predefined time periods. For each, the left-hand column is the baseline, and the next two
columns compare a time frame to that baseline.
Note: Given the size of this report, you may want to pre-run it nightly after the data warehouse is
updated.
Prompts
There are no prompts for this report.
Report Output
This report provides three sets of comparison figures, including variance:
Month to date compared to the prior month to date and the month to date last year;
this uses the calendar date
The variance calculation is todays value minus yesterdays value, which is then divided by the lesser of
todays value or yesterdays value.
MTDLY uses the day of the month to determine the cutoff. For example, if today is May 15, 2007, the
report runs through May 15, 2006.
